Luggage Tag Information

I was wondering what information everyone puts on their luggage tags.

Do you put your name, address and phone numbers?

I read on a thread about not putting your address as people will know the information to rob your house while your away.

One bad thing is, they can get that information even with just your phone number. You can go on this one website, type in the phone number, and if it's a list number, get your name and address.

I was just wondering what everyone on these boards do and found to be safe. I'm helping my girlfriend make up her tags on the computer, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just put my last name in block letters and my city, state. I also tape a 3x5 card on the inside of my bags with same info. I use two tags per checked bag, as I have lost several tags in transit on my trips. They get broken.

Good idea to make up computer labels.

I use my business address (I stick one of my cards into the tag). This way if my bag gets lost and they call, co-workers know where to find me.

There was a thread about this several weeks ago. I suggest you do a search on the DIS to find it.

Also put a copy of your itinerary in your luggage in case of any problems.

Yup, put your work address and phone, and cell phone if you have one.

And that is why I pay the phone company $2 a month NOT to list my home phone number!

Hate to tell you this, but I entered my in-laws unlisted number on that website and it supplied their name and address.

On luggage tags I put my last name and cell number.

Thanks everyone for your help.

I made sure my unlisted phone number didn't show up on the website.

Also, I won't be able to use a work address as I will be working from the home.
