Is there room in the cabins to stow large pieces of luggage?

Under the bed. If the pieces are too large to slide under, just lift the mattress and put them under that way.

I guess it depends on how huge they really are, but we fit two large rectangular suitcases, one large duffle with wheels, and a garmet bag under the bed with NO problem.

We were able to "nest" our two suitcases and put them in the closet. It wasn't a problem for us! We did put the garment bag under the bed.

We didn't have a problem storing a large suitcase in the closet. The others we put under the bed, inside one another. The life jackets might have gone under the bed also.

Pre 9/11 we brought that new big fancy Samsonite pull it behind you upright hardsider suitcase. And it fit under the bed easily. There is plenty of room under there.
