Luggage Questions

This may be a stupid question but we've never cruised before and honestly don't know. I know we put the luggage tags on our checked bags, but are we also supposed to put them on our carry ons as well?

Also I know we will have an extra luggage tag, am i allowed to pack a small duffle bag in our large suitcase just in case we need it for the extra stuff we will purchase onboard and at the ports? I would have an extra tag that I could use on the duffle bag if we need it. I just don't know if it's allowed.

Tags only go on checked luggage. You'll get different tags when you get off the ship and you can get extras for things like duffles full of souvenirs.

You can take an additional bag, if you think you'll need it. The DCL supplied luggage tags are for use on your checked bags. If you're asking about general luggage tags (just for identification), we always have one of those on all bags (checked and carry on).

If you are flying in the day of the cruise, the luggage tags will be placed on your checked bags before you check them in at the airport. This is so the DCL transportation people can find them at the airport for transport to the ship.

The luggage tags you need at the end of the cruise (if you are using DCL transfers and/or Onboard Airline Checkin) you won't receive until the day before the end of the cruise.

A personalized luggage ID tag is always a good idea for your carryons, but you do not need the printed sticker luggage tags from DCL on your carryons. I made custom luggage tags for all of our bags.
