Hi, 6 days to go and we're trying to figure out what's the best way to lock up the luggage. Is there sucurity rules that we must obey. Luggauge locks vs cable ties vs no locks at all.

HELP!!!

The only locks you can use, unless you don't care if they get cut off, are the TSA approved locks. They can be found at Target, etc., and say that they are TSA approved.

We just got back. We used cableties on SWA for 8 suitcases, They opened up 1 each way.no problem otherwise.

We had luggage locks on all of are bags. The TSA opened one. They left a nice little note saying “we randomly search luggage if something is missing here is the number to call.” They suggested using Zipp Ties to close your luggage. It’s a small plastic tie that can only be used once. They will open your luggage if it is chosen. If it has a lock on it that they cannot open they will find a way in. I hope this helps.

Thanks for all the great suggestions. Because we are driving from Tampa, we don't have to worry about airline rules and regulations.

So if we zipp/cable tie our luggae, it shouldn't be a problem-Correct.

When do the luggages actually get open by DCL/Customes/Whomever?

Thanks again! :goodvibes
