We were planning on going to Kennedy space center after we disembark the ship. Disney Cruise Line stated we have to get our luggage immediately after we leave the ship. We are not renting a car. Does anyone have any ideas on what we can do with our luggage while we are at Kennedy Space Center?

How are you getting to Kennedy Space Center? Is there a particular reason why you don't want to rent a car? It would be the best solution.

Disney does not offer a service to hold luggage:(

Just an FYI: it's about a 25 minute drive between the Port and the Space Center.

I think your best bet would be to get a rental. How are you getting to the airport after your day at Kennedy?

I was not aware about the drive time. We do not want to rent a care because our flight leaves that evening. I guess we will have to search for things to do around the airport

Depending on how many people in your party you may find that a one way rental is not more or may be less than a shuttle. We did this when we had a similar flight time and spent the day at Downtown Disney

The easiest would be to do a one-way rental. Pick up at near the port and return to MCO before your flight. We have done this several times. This way we have our own transportation and somewhere to put the luggage.

There are shuttles from the port to various rental car agencies at PC. You could easily pick up your car, go to KSC and spend several hours before driving to the airport, checking in your car and catching your flight. We did this after our first cruise. It was very efficient and easy.

I also vote on renting a car for the morning/afternoon. Check prices. It's probably totally worth it for a chance to see something pretty cool (space center) and since you are flying I assume you don't live near space center and that would be a great way to spend a few hours. Rental car minimal cost.

Someone help me-do you contact state rep or senator for free tix to space center or am I thinking totally something different, like White House tours lol

They used to offer free tickets to the Space Center, but that stopped about a year ago.

If you can't find anything to do, you can do what we just did. We rented a dayroom at the Hyatt at the airport and used their swimming pool and their room for napping and showering. It was $99 plus tax = $111. Well worth it since our flight didn't leave until 6:25pm.

well Disney said they do not hold luggage. I think we will just check our baggage and then go to downtown disney for the day

Do you mean at the airport. I think?? you can only check you bags an hour or two before your flight.

Yes, they only allow you to check luggage a few hours before the flight. That will not be enough time to get to DTD and back. Your best bet is to do a one day rental and lock your bags in the truck or thr Hyatt day room.
