I have a bass rolling luggage bag thats 3 inches to big. Do you think the airlines would have a big deal with that and will i have to pay over size price. Any help would be great I leave monday.

Three inches is a big difference when it comes to luggage size. It is likely to be immediately noticeable when you present your luggage to the airline. If you are using that bag, be prepared to pay the over-size fee each way, but keep your fingers crossed and maybe you'll get lucky.

My luck - yes. And, if the size is too large, you will also have the ability fill it so full it will be too heavy and you will get socked with that fee as well. It would be less expensive to just purchase a new suitcase.

Airlines have gotten very strict with size & weight because this is where they're making their money. We once had a flight on Air Tran & one bag was 50.5 Lbs & the Skycap said either take something out or he would charge us $25 or $50 (whichever is their overweight fee). I took out a pair of DS's PJ's & that did it. But they weren't fooling around. We are using Air France this summer for our Med cruise & their CARRY-ON restrictions are 21" INCLUDING wheels, exterior pockets & handles so I had to purchase the smaller 17" international size bags or else risk paying $50 for EACH bag PER FLIGHT to check them if they enforced it. They also limit carry-on articles to a total of 26 Lbs so I am using a luggage scale too. I agree that it would likely be cheaper to just buy a new bag that fits the size limit - and agree that if your bag is THAT big you WILL go over the 50 Lb limit.
