Okay, so this post isn't necessarily about Disney trips only.

I am going to Australia for 5 months and am trying to find some good luggage to invest in. I was hoping that everyone on this board might have some brand or type of luggage that they recommend.

I have never travelled abroad and the luggage I have now will not make it to Australia and back. I would ideally like to get pretty decent luggage that I can use for trips in the future, such as going to Disney :).

I have googled and googled luggage, but thought it might be nice to hear personal opinions.

Thank you!!!

Whatever you buy, make sure it meets the size and weight limitations of all the airlines you will be using, including any in Australia. Try all the zippers, etc. A member of the family took Ricardo brand luggage to Australia a few years ago.

Usually have great deals on luggage. We have some Ricardo, ours is older and a little too heavy. Also, they didn't stand by their warranty when the zipper /fabric broke. I bought my husband a Samsonite Spinner carry-on that he loves and it is very light and has held up well for three years with at least monthly travel. Also, Macy's or Kohl's sometime have a nice sale and if you can combine it with a coupon you might do well. Have a safe trip.

I have always loved Samsonite Luggage. Not sure if you have a Marshalls or TJ Max where you are but they always have great luggage much cheaper! I am actually on the hunt for some new luggage for our family but I want quality and a funky color (green or orange).

The best in my opinion is Tumi but it is UBER pricey.

We've had American Tourister Luggage since 2002 and we've always had good luck. Also, try looking at Gordmans if you have one close. They often have brand names for a lot less than department stores.

Samsonite Glide with the heavy duty wheels are easy to roll and are light. Kohl's runs 50% off sales and you can always combine with other discounts that are currently running. They also offer free shipping if the total is over their specified amount.
Nordstrom Rack also has great deals - better than ebags!

You’ve made the right decision of investing in good quality luggage. Believe me dealing with broken zippers or jammed wheels is not fun! Why don’t you take a look at some luggage options from Briggs & Riley? That’s the brand I use and they make very good quality luggage and back it by their unconditional lifetime warranty.
