Anyone have any ideas of where to get some good, cheap, lighweight, luggage with wheels? I don't travel that much, but need something lightweight, but fairly cheap. I would have to buy it online, as there are no luggage stores near me.

do you have a Boston store/Younkers/Elder-Berman near you?

this past weekend, there was a 6 piece set on clearance for $74.xx.
it was a good deal ( i have too much luggage already)

Kohls has good deals on luggage this time of year also

I second ebags. If you search for a coupon code on google, you can usually find one and they also have a clearance section.

My DH needed a new suitcase so I searched for one using Froogle and found a $260 Delsey 29 inch upright for $52 at Sears! It is no longer available and I do not know how much it weighs but we can return it to any Sears store if he does not like it. Search using terms like

29 upright
29 suitcase

and then sort for price. I would stay away from the cheap no name luggage for sale at Target, etc. I read an article in Consumer Reports and it said none of the cheap luggage they bought survived the tumbler test.

I just purchased 2 luggage sets from Overstock.com for under $200 including shipping. They are hard shelled with pivoting wheels and came with TSA locks. Weight before fill was less than 5 lbs. I'm easily going to make the 50lb limit on each of my 5 bags for my trip to Disney in 2 weeks!

We buy all our luggage at Ross. They have all the major brands - Samsonite, Delsey, American Tourister. I even saw Diane Von Furstenburg (sp?) yesterday.

I think I read that Mousesavers.com has a discount you can use on ebags.

I got my luggage at Kohl's. They carry theirs 50% off a lot of the time. Then I get occasional coupons from Kohl's, so I got an additional 30% off the remainder. I chose the Delsey brand.

One helpful hint, avoid the 29" ones if you do a lot of flying. They tend to get overweight. It is usually cheaper to pay an extra bag fee, than an overweight fee.

Kohl's is having a sale this week. I've also bought some at Tuesday Morning when I wanted an inexpensive extra large suitcase in a hurry.

www.boscovs.com has a huge duffel on wheels strong and I packed everything for dd for a week and lots of room extra for the toaster and water pot. $19.99 I think I may have a free shipping code. The bag I would say is worth double then that. Has wheels and handle to pull.

Boscovs also had a 29 inche for about $29.99 that I have used our last three trips. I will look for the

This link has the ciao! luggage I bought several trips ago on sale. The wheels are good too. There is a 30" duffel, 29 suitcase, 27, 21 and a carry on duffel.

There are other name brands on sale too.I just know I have had great results from this set of luggage and shipping or buying from Boscov's.

I have some London Fog suitcases that have been awesome! We travel a lot, so they take a beating and all the cheap ones have been demolished. So no more cheap ones for me. I found the london Fog bags at Burlington Coat Factory, several years ago.

This summer I needed more and I couldn't find the London Fog. I got Samsonite at TJ Maxx. They have been great too, so far. They've only been on about 3 round trips so far, but no troubles yet.

Good Luck!

Thanks for all the suggestions! I haven't decided what I'm going to buy yet. I want something really light, that holds alot, but has wheels. Unfortunately the words lightweight luggage and wheels just don't seem to go together.:rotfl:

I bought a piece of luggage from Wal-mart that is made by Jeep. It is very light and has wheels. I want to say is was around $40.00. It is more of a large duffel type on wheels. I absolutely love it, because it is soooo light.

You can actually check out Target or Walmart. They usually have sets that are under $120.00.
