If I use Resort Airline Check-In, do I pay the luggage fees at the RAC desk? Or is there a way to pay them in advance?

If I am understanding you correctly, they weigh them right there in front of you so you would pay there if over.

Ok, wasn't sure.

Also wasn't sure where I'd pay the luggage fee if we choose an airlines where there is a fee (Continental, USAirways, American).

They will give you a number to call on the paper they deliver to your room. You call the number to pay the luggage fees.

The day before you leave you will get an envelope on your door with a letter telling you what time your DME bus pickup time will be. At the bottom of that letter is a number to call. Have a pen and piece of paper ready, because as soon as they answer the lady will immediately ask how many bags you have to check, ask for your credit card number, and will very quickly give you a confirmation number. The lady I got this past May when I called, talked so fast I barely had time to write the confirmation number down, before she hung up.

Now if you happen to be overweight the next morning when you check your bags in, I'm not sure where you pay the overweight fees, but I think you may have to take them yourself to the airport and pay there. When I was checking in at RAC at POFQ this past May, there was a couple off to the side, rearranging stuff in their bags to get under the weight limit and I heard the RAC agent saying something about they could not take any money there and would have to pay at the airport if they couldn't get the bags under the weight limit.

Thanks so much! So glad I can just pay for luggage fees while at Disney and not have to check luggage in at the airport.

The first time we did this we took our luggage to RAC counter and while there called 407-284-1231. We paid for our luggage then went to counter. We just happened to have pen and paper to write dow confirmation #. It would be easier to do from your room (which I did last trip) because you need to write down the confirmation number.

Thanks for the info. If I have to pay luggage fees, I'll definitely call from the room.

When we were at the BWV last month the information was sitting in the room when we checked in. You have to call the number the day before (have your flight confirmation in hand) and give them a credit card number. They will give you a confirmation number that you need to take the next day the the RAC desk and they just look the info up on the computer and they then check-in your luggage and print your boarding passes. Very easy to do.
