I have a question about getting our luggage to and from our room when we arrive and depart.
We will hopefully have a grocery delivery arriving just before us too all being well so have quite a bit with us.

When we arrive do we just request a luggage cart and they help us to the room ? Is this usually right away or do we have to wait for our luggage to get to the room?
How much do you usually tip for this?

Last question is , we will be departing the resort at 2:30 am so what would be the best method to get the luggage to the lobby area from our room?

We are staying at Coronado springs :)

Sorry for all the questions & thanks in advance.

How are you getting to the resort and leaving? You can now check into your hotel and receive your room assignment online, and use either your magic band or my Disney experience app to open your hotel room door. This means if you are driving or using a private car/Uber you can go directly to your room if you’re in an outer building. We did this at CBR last trip and it worked great.

We will be arriving by Mears coach. I will be completing online check-in however , we don't have any in date magic bands so may need to stop by the lobby anyway to set up a card to get in and out of the room in case technology fails us!

Bell Services at CSR is outside at the tower not far from where DME used to pick up and drop off. But if you have old magic bands bring them anyway, the room key function will still work even if the long range functions don’t anymore.

On the 2:30am departure part...just be aware that staffing levels for things like bell services can tend to be a skeleton crew overnight. I don't know exactly when to tell you to call, but I would build in extra time for them to arrive to your room and worse case scenario build in time to walk to the Tower Mears pick-up spot yourself with your luggage if an option. One of those times it's better to be safe/early than running around scrambling if things don't go right, in my opinion.

Enjoy your trip!

The folks who unload your car and the folks who bring luggage to your room seem to be two different teams. Expect to have your luggage unloaded and held, and then call down to have it delivered after you're in the room. They won't walk it up with you (in my experience).

For your early morning departure, call earlier in the day to arrange for a pick up. As another person mentioned, staff is very limited on the overnights. Probably only one bell services person. They can arrange a time in advance.

Thanks for all your great tips! I'm mostly concerned about arrival since we will also have a fairly large Walmart delivery. I'm half tempted to just pay the $6 fee or whatever it is to get them to bring the food stuff and just take the cases ourselves. I like to get unpacked asap I would be itching to get organised in the room lol.

As of recent our older Magic bands always have to be reprogrammed at the front desk to open the door. If you are going straight to your room make sure you have a cel phone that has RFID as a backup (all apple do and most older higher end Android and lower end newer models)

In our experience, your bags and groceries will all be delivered within 15 minutes of you getting into your room. So much easier to have everything unloaded, transferred to Bell Services, then brought to your room. The tip and delivery fee are tiny compared to the cost of your holiday and well worth the convenience in my opinion.

Not sure when you are arriving but there is no guarantee the room will be ready when you get there, even if arrival is after the usual check-in time.
