when you check out, do you have to bring your luggage down with you if you are taking the ME to the airport, or does someone come to your room to get it?

You can request someone come to your room; it is customary to tip anyone who handles your luggage. At the Value resorts, which offer Luggage Assistance vs. Bell Services, they'll likely give you a time range of when they'll be there - the Cast Members pick up luggage from several rooms at one time. Or you can go to the counter and borrow a luggage cart.
