I was able to get a great airfare, but the catch is, is that we arrive at 1:00 in the morning, we added a one night stay (room only) and I'm still ahead money-wise.

Here is what I'd like to do, but dont know if its feasible. Since the YC and POP reservation are not connected in anyway, I assume that I would get ME tags for both reservations

We arrive on the early morning of the 13th, which is what both sets up luggage tags will say, can I tag the YC ones for the YC and just do one bag for POP. Bathing suits and PJs only. This way, we don't have to do a luggage transfer.

Let me see if I'm understanding this right...you arrive on, let's say, Monday morning at 1:00 am. You are going to POP to sleep. Then, you are heading to YC later in the morning?
I'm not sure it's feasible. Why I can't tell you...that's just what my gut tells me. I would take all the luggage to POP and then just get a cab to YC in the morning. It's not that far, shouldn't be more than $10.

Goofy4tink....you got the scenario right.....I just thought it would be more "fun" if my luggage was waiting for us at YC rather than lug in to POP at 1a, with a stupid luggage cart, then wheel it out in the morning. :goodvibes

ETA: We probably shouldn't even use our luggage tags, because we won't get out luggage until 3-4a, right, then they have to wake us up to give it to us, or do they hold it?

I'm bumping this again because we need a definitive answer!

I would love to know this too.
I'm in the same sort of situation.
We are driving to POP and staying one night before we switch over to BWI.

When we did a split stay (no DME) we went from POP to AKL. We got up in the am took our luggage to the bell station, on the left side if u are looking at Classic hall from the back side/pool side. Told threm we were checking into AKL that day 'Thank you very much' We got to AKL around 3 checked in they brought up our luggage. Very easy.

now for you I would think that it would have to go to POP. You could tell them to hold your luggage then in the morning ask them to send it to YC. Or you could go get your Luggage at MCO then they would put it on DME & then do what we did.

I am doing the same thing. I don't want to pay for night at the GF when I don't arrive until Midnight. I am renting a car so I am bringing all of my luggage to the Pop. The next morning we will head over to the GF and check in. If we can't get an early check in, I will leave the luggage with the Bell Hops and head to the MK. I have also read other posts where you can have your luggage sent from one Disney Resort to another. The downside for that is that you probably won't see your luggage for a while. If you don't have a car, the taxi idea sounds good to me. I would also like to have my luggage the first night just to make sure that it arrived. If your suitcase is missing, you won't know about it until the next day.

Our question has to do SPECIFICALLY with DME. We are not getting a car. We do not want the luggage to get to POP and then bounce to BCV. We'd like it to go straight from MCO to BCV.

Begging for a solid answer!

OP here.....I called CR yesterday and asked a CM is my plan was plausible. He said "no". It would get confusing, we are scheduled w/ ME for the POP so our name would be on that list. They cross check the luggage that would say YC and it could get confusing and things could get lost.

He suggested that I elimate POP from the equation because day of arrival for both hotels is really the same date, POP June 13 midnight, YC June 13 also.

So if I eliminate POP, and register us w/ ME for YC only, use the YC tags, I then talk to a CM at ME/MCO explain to them that I need to get on the POP bus instead of YC it COULD work.

This is what we are going to do......claim our own luggage at MCO, put it on the ME bus with us to POP, unload at POP, leave luggage w/ Bell services, have them transport to YC, I will have one bag packed for overnight stuff/swim suits and I will just grab that and bring to the room.

I really don't want Bell Services waking us up for luggage delivery at 3 or 4 am.

Your luggage delivery is based on the resort you are going to from MCO via DME. You don't have to worry about your luggage being delivered to your room at 3 am though. POP luggage services isn't even open at that time!
If it were me, this is how I would do it (as I said before)...I wouldn't tag my bags, I would go to baggage claim and get them myself and bring them to the bus with me. I would get up in the morning, get in a cab and take the luggage over to YC myself. You can check in, stow your bags with Bell Services and then head off to the parks.

:confused3 why the popcorn? I don't see a debate whatsoever? I am learning something new and don't see the need for popcorn.

goofy4tink - thank you (again), this is exactly what I'm going to do....however instead of heading to the parks after I check in at YC, can I just go to SAB? LOL

Sounds like a plan to me!!! Leave that bathing suit on the top of a suitcase, get your wristband and have a ball!!
