LUCKY NUMBER ELEVEN! And this time, we brought newbies! UPDATED x1 01/07/'14

ANNOUNCEMENT: And so begins a new chapter...

As many may know, I'll be heading off to Disney World in two days. That's crazy, right?! I'm currently in the process of preparing for this monumental trip. I'm so excited. It's my first time returning Home with my family since 2009 AND my best friend, McKenna's first time. SO MUCH EXCITEMENT.

1148850_4617680258772_636931698_n.jpg

I have so much left to do before I'm completely ready to leave. That being said, I'm going to hand over the task of completing this trip report to one of my best (Disney) friends, Abe. This is indeed part of a larger gift that Alex and I are putting together for him and a surprise. It could be considered the emotional build-up part. :)

This April trip was indeed his first trip to Disney World and it honestly lifted the fog and made him see the light. That light being the perfection that is Disney, haha.

I'm so very excited to read our experience from a first timer's perspective. He'll be covering the rest of our Magic Kingdom day all the way to the post-trip report. So let's give Abe warm Disney welcome to the TR. I hope everyone enjoys his witty writing and terrible grammar. Happy writing, Abrahm! pixiedust:

Sincerely,
MaiLei

The Newbie Speaks

Well hello there! In case if you don't recognize the person pictured below I shall tell you who it is. It's me Abe!
ry%3D400

Since my wonderful friend MaiLei is going down to WDW (I'm not jealous at all) I've had the wonderful task of finishing this TR bequeathed onto me. Seeing as we're going to be spending quite a few updates together here are some things you ought to know.

In the terms of my Disney obsession I'll be honest, I wasn't raised on Disney. My diehard obsession with Disney started at the beginning of this year and it hit me like a hurricane.

My favorite non-Pixar Disney movie is most likely Aladdin

My favorite Pixar movie is Monsters Inc. but, Up is in a close second.

I'm a WDW one-timer. (Well technically two but the first was when I was a few months old)

I hope that I can do the DCP fall advantage my sophomore year of college.

I kind of have a crush on Ariel and Jasmine.

I'm super excited (and a little nervous) about starting my work on this TR.
WISH ME LUCK!

April 15th, 2013 (Part 7): Magic and Fantasy

So as you first walk into PhilharMagic there's all of these posters for "shows" featuring Disney characters.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

I'll be honest, for a second I thought you could actually see these shows somewhere in WDW. I mean wouldn't it be super cool to have a show of Hades singing torch songs? BUT, Then I realized the sad, sad truth...

Talk about earth shattering

But I love them anyways no matter how misleading they may be.

After that wonderful hallway you get put into a waiting area

ry%3D400

And then after waiting an amount of time (that I don't remember) you cross the threshold into the theatre.

ry%3D400

My friend Alex has a soft spot for "Automagically" I think it may be her favorite Disney play on words.

We sat down and waited for the show to start. I was excited to see the show!

ry%3D400

I love all the instruments around the stage due to my bandie self.

LOOK AT THE HIDDEN MICKEY IN THE HORN! MaiLei or Alex (I forget which they're both very knowledgeable) told us there was one in the room and Allie and I spent our time waiting searching for it. We were quite proud of ourselves when we found it

ry%3D400

Then the show started!

I loved the show. I was totally unprepared for the water to spray me, it startled me. I also enjoyed the Donald sticking out of the back wall a lot at the end.

Then we ventured over to New Fantasyland! For me all of Fantasyland was new but to our eleven timers this was a big deal. I'm pretty sure Alex and MaiLei even got a little teary eyed upon entering.

We were planning on heading over to Gaston's tavern to get some Lefou's brew but then we saw the man himself
Gaston!

ry%3D400

Although it would be tough to miss him he is roughly the size of a barge after all.

The line was quite short so we all waited in line. I remember a little girl in line in front of us told Gaston I love you and he replied "I love me too," it was perfect. After the wait the guys stepped back and the girls got pictures with the manliest man in town.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Gaston was just the perfect amount of arrogant and cocky that day. I was rather impressed.

After that we passed Gaston's generous gift,

ry%3D400

and made our way into the tavern.

ry%3D400

It was so well decorated it felt like a roaring chorus of Gaston could break out any moment.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

This score board is amazing on so many levels.

And look Lafou's brew!

ry%3D400

We got both the stein and the goblet. I remember carrying those around all day in my backpack. So they could keep them.

We sat around whilst we drank the brew. I tried some I don't remember disliking or liking it. but I didn't try a ton so I think I'll try it again next time I'm over there.

ry%3D400

We started to get antsy from sitting so long and not spending time that could be spent exploring, so we got up and took the drinks on the road. We had a voyage we had to catch after all!

April 15th, 2013 (Part 8): UNDER DA SEA

We arrived at Journey of the Little Mermaid with a little too much Lefou's brew so those left with it tried to quick down it before entering the ride. (Some brain freeze did ensue from these antics)

ry%3D480

If I had a ship I know who I'd have decorating the bow.

ry%3D400

This ride was a first for everyone on the trip I think. So we were all pretty excited for it!

ry%3D400

We passed Eric's castle (which looks practically identical to the movie) and made our way to the cue. The area you go through is amazing.

ry%3D400

The line wasn't too long and we were more than happy to wait.

ry%3D400

After a little bit of time we finally were about to embark on this glorious journey.

ry%3D480

And finally we arrived at the shells!

ry%3D400

After waiting we were more than excited to board.

I don't know why but I really enjoy the background behind the clams. It's very nice.

ry%3D400

ry%3D480

The ride was phenomenal. The only awkward part is when the ride stopped for a handicapped person we were stuck by the transforming Ariel. If you know that scene she's pretty much naked... awkward.

The highlight of my ride was definitely singing out of tune at the top of my lungs with my shell mates to under the sea!

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

The shells around us probably hated us.

After the ride we decide since under da sea is so great why don't we go visit it's princess Ariel!

ry%3D400

Well that's not entirely true she's Julianna's favorite princess (I hadn't fully rediscovered her yet) so that was the deciding factor.

We walked through the charming grotto

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

and made our way to the room with Ariel!!

ry%3D400

Since it's not every day you meet a real live princess Julianna and Ariel chatted it up a bit!

ry%3D400

Then it was posed picture time

ry%3D400

Everyone now!!

ry%3D400

It's quite hard to pose with that large of a group.

After we got off the ride Allie's eye had been hurting all day from some sunscreen she got in it and couldn't get out, so we spent some time trying to get a hold of a chaperone to come and help her. Eventually we got a hold of someone and they came and brought her to first aid.

In the mean time we waited and Jacob became a regular old Flynn Rider.

ry%3D400

We didn't have much time left until the Mainstreet Electrical Parade but our experts estimated we had enough time for one more attraction.

Enchanted Tales with Belle

ry%3D400

Next Post

Loving your guys report, it is defiantly reminding me of my last time I went to Disney World because it is was a school trip too!

April 5th, 2013 (Part 9): Tale As Old As Time

I really had no idea what to expect going into Enchanted Tales but I had no reason to believe it wouldn't be excellent. So we walked into the cue and got ready for a tale as old as time.

ry%3D400

Sadly though, we had to wait because a lot of people wanted to come meet Belle.

ry%3D400

And after quite a while waiting, we finally got into the cottage!

ry%3D400

We saw this checkers board and we tried to move the pieces to play. But they were glued to the board so no checkers for us.

ry%3D400

HEY LOOK IT'S BELLES MOM!

ry%3D400

All the little details that were put into this house were so insane. Like I wish I could just stay there for a while to look around and fully take in the amazingness that is Belle's cottage.

ry%3D400

Like this little detail was just insane.
(P.S. Thank you Alex for telling us ans means years, French isn't our forte.)

And now we are in!

ry%3D400

Oh my Disney the audio-animatronics on this are beyond insane. My mind was sufficiently blown by them. The wardrobe is spot on. Disney magic definitely comes to mind when I think of them.

She was picking people to help surprise Belle and the kids were shy so we had two lucky volunteers.

Autumn the knight

ry%3D400

And Julianna the footstool.

ry%3D400

Into the room we go!

ry%3D400

And another mind blowing audio-animatronic. Lumiere was almost too good to be real. On a side, I think it would be super cool if I could ever play Lumiere in the Beauty in the Beast musical. I saw a local high school do it and I've wanted to ever since.

And now the lady of the hour Belle. I think she was a super good Belle.

ry%3D400

And with such a good Belle there had to be an equally frightening Beast.

ry%3D400

Or a cute little girl whatever works.

I'll be honest I don't remember the exact order of these pictures but here is our Mrs. Potts.

ry%3D400

And Julianna got to meet Belle. I'm pretty sure they're hugging right now but the view was a little obstructed.

ry%3D400

And Autumn got to meet Belle. She is Autumn's favorite so it was a huge deal for her.

ry%3D400

Sadly it was time to say goodbye to Belle because her and the Beast had a big date!

ry%3D400

But we got to go to something great,
THE MAINSTREET ELECTRICAL PARADE!

Next Post

April 5th, 2013 (Part 10): Wishing Upon a Star

So we were headed over to the Mainstreet Electrical Parade and as we passed the castle

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

(Just lovely looking)
MaiLei and I hightailed it over to Adventureland and the rest of the group headed to Mainstreet. MaiLei and I were on a quest to see Jasmine (she was one of the people I really wanted to meet) but, when we got there we couldn't find her. So we asked a castmember and after struggling with an accent barrier we learned she wasn't anywhere to be found so we quick made our way back to Mainstreet after dealing with the insane parade route madness.

Once we arrived we found are spot and I was beyond happy where we got to watch it from. It was right where they came out!

ry%3D400

Once we claimed our spot me and several others stayed while every one else hurried to buy everything they wanted in a very small amount of time.

Thankfully everyone managed to get back in time for parade!

Unfortunately for this report we only took a video of the parade so here's the one still shot we have.

ry%3D400

Since I don't have the pictures I'll give you a play by play of what I remember about the parade. First off WOW the colors on the lights are just super intense and amazing. And now to specific events! The Tinkerbell at the beginning of the parade was crazy. Not only did she strongly resemble Tink she also was super energetic. Then I remember these like snail like things that didn't follow the track at all, That was sweet. Speaking of things that didn't follow the track Smee's rowboat totally looks like it's steered by the oars! I don't know if it is but I was throughly impressed by it. There were also these people that were like following the parade then they would stop and dance and then they just moved forwards to do it again. That seems like it's a lot of work. One last thing before I stop because this is a lot of text in a row was there was all the dwarfs. Like all seven! I was impressed and I want to meet them.

So after the parade Alex, Allie, MaiLei and I followed the parade to try to get the best spot the rest of the group went shopping I think before Celebrate the Magic. The crowd was quite dense.

ry%3D400

We followed it and got once again some of the best seats in the house. We were right by the partners statue!

ry%3D400

I'll admit it I was spoiled when it came to seating. We were standing there and it was getting chilly and we were waiting for the show to start. About ten minutes before the show started Jacob called me to find out where we were. None of them were vey good with directions so by the time the show started we were a solid twenty yards away still but it was okay since they found some other kids form our band.

Disclaimer: This part is the feeliest part of my whole trip by far. And also we don't have any pictures of it.

So when the show started I was expecting something really cool like IllumiNations. I got something completely different. When they started projecting things on to the castle I thought it was really really cool. And then they started to show some of my favorite movies and it got a bit feely and then I got hit like a truck by emotions. We got to the Tangled part. And I sobbed. It was due to a combination of the fact that they really emotionally set you up, and that movie is quite feely. But mostly it reminded me of my friends and I love them to death and I feel like I feel the same. And I know it sounds cheesy and cliche, but hey, its true and I'm a sap so yeah I was crying the rest of the time.

Once Celebrate the Magic was over it was time for wishes. Which I didn't know fireworks could be that emotional either. I have a soft spot for Jiminy Cricket. Plus I have a soul so how couldn't the kids singing pull at my heart strings. The only downside was there was these guys behind us who kept knocking me in the back but I was kind of to wrapped up in all of it to care too much. It was really funny while the fireworks were shooting over the castle it was bothering Allie that they didn't go the way that they always did in the one before the movies. By the time Wishes was done I was sufficiently emotionally taxed and my chest was sufficiently wet. Thankfully I wasn't the only one crying.

When we were done we hugged it out, hugs are always very good, and then we were leaving what had all of a sudden become my home with people who were now most definitely close as family.

ry%3D400

We meandered as we left as no one was in a rush to leave and we made our way to the ferries.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

I really enjoyed the water parade it was very quaint.

ry%3D400

When we all got on the ferry we went up to the second level and gazed upon Magic Kingdom as we left.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Goodbye Home.

Then we got on the bus, headed back to the hotel, and went to sleep.

Next Post

April 6th, 2013 (Part 1):Adventure is out there!

Today's morning was slight more chaotic than most as we had to put ALL of our stuff on bus. Sadly this was our last day in Florida :( and we weren't coming back to the hotel. So, we ate breakfast and everyone crowded onto the bus. We brought our suitcases, carry-ons and every little thing that we had bought on the trip and headed off to Disney's Animal Kingdom!
ry%3D400

Right when we walk into the park we see the The Tree of Life!

ry%3D400

For half a second I thought it might be real before realizing nature doesn't work like that. But nature should work like that because that would be super cool. C'mon nature, get your act together. ANYWAYS, we then spotted Russell and Dug in the distance and we needed to meet them. Up is one of my favorite movies of all time so it was a necessity to meet them.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

After taking our sweet time and annoying everyone behind us, we headed out. Our next stop was one that was highly anticipated The Festival of The Lion King. We passed a sign for It's Tough to be a Bug on the way to it.

ry%3D400

Funny thing about this attraction is it is one of our tour director Earling's favorite attractions and one of Alex's least favorite. She used to hate the feeling of the bugs and got nightmares about it so it was definitely a no go.

When we arrived we got there right before the show started. We got put into the giraffe section.

ry%3D400

The show was absolutely phenomenal. Between the monkeys, the fire dancers and the birds I have no idea what was the highlight of it. My mind was just continually blown by the performance that happened. I just have no idea how those people are capable of doing that.

The show ended and we took a long walk over Asia. The plan was to take a ride on Expedition Everest, but there was a 60 minute wait and we only had half a day here.

ry%3D480

After some thought and debate we decided to get fastpasses and adjust our plans.

ry%3D400

With our changed plan in place we made haste to Finding Nemo: The Musical!

ry%3D400

MaiLei and Alex had been singing songs from it for about a month so I had high hopes for it. We got pretty good seats and we were all excited for the show and happy to be in the air conditioning. ITS HOT IN FLORIDA!

ry%3D400

As we waited for the show I was slightly mesmerized by the bubbles. I don't really know why but they were very cool.

ry%3D400

P.S. Hidden Mickeys galore.

The shows puppets were incredible I was dying throughout the whole show. I may have teared up a bit at the Big Blue World. This was phenomenal and I loved every moment of it.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

With some time left still before we could use are fastpasses, we decided to get some thrills in on the one the only DINOSAUR!

Next Post

April 6th, 2013 (Part 2): Lions and Tigers and Dinosaurs, Oh My!

(I apologize in advance for lack of periods with pictures the chronology was a little screwy)

So we walked in and there's a giant dinosaur skeleton.
ry%3D400

ry%3D400

It's actually quite impressive like the size of it. Dinosaurs are pretty legit.

ry%3D400

We walked under the sign and I was prepared to learn!

ry%3D400

MaiLei was very excited. She's a Disney veteran and yet had never been on Dinosaur. We heard rumors that there was a scary part so there were some nerves from members of our group but our excitement overcame it.

ry%3D400

We were having a good lesson until wait for it.

WE TRAVELED BACK IN TIME. On our adventure back in time we accidentally got very close to the end of all life via meteor. When the dinosaur jumped out at the side of our car several members of our group freaked out at this.Thankfully right before the catastrophe we managed to slip back into the modern day. Phew.

ry%3D400

After the ride we went into the gift shop.

ry%3D400

I knew for a souvenir I wanted a Sulley stuffed animal so I looked at these.

ry%3D400

After much mental debate I decided to wait out for a different one and on we went to lunch!

We were on our way to lunch and saw an Alligator! or crocodile

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

I can't tell the difference. Regardless Alex has a love of the one from Peter Pan and was very enthused to see this one.

We then with empty stomachs approached the rare Restaurantosaurus.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Our group got some simple burgers and chicken strips.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

From what I heard it was delicious. While most of us scarfed it down Jacob left some fries. So we chose to toss them at him for fun.

We didn't have much time left on our fastpasses so we hightailed it over to Expedition Everest to find out about this yeti business.

ry%3D400

This ride was by far the most intense one I had gone on thus far. We are going up to the peak!

ry%3D400

A guy could get used to this view.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Yep I'm used to it.

And now the really insane part happens.

ry%3D400

I really didn't think we would go backwards. It was really cool. Like I wasn't anticipating it to be that intense but it was pretty awesome.

We got done with the ride and had to get back to the bus.

ry%3D400

GOODBYE ANIMAL KINGDOM.

AND HELLO, our last park, HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS!

ry%3D400

NEXT POST

April 6th, 2013 (Part 3): The Darker Side of Tinseltown

We got off the bus and started on our way to Disney's Hollywood Studios!

ry%3D400

On the way there we saw a Sorcerer Mickey topiary. Sorcerer Mickey is my favorite of all the Mickeys so I was pretty darn happy to see this topiary.

ry%3D400

We passed under the gates and entered the wonderful world of 1940's Hollywood.

ry%3D400

Right when we got in we saw the information kiosky thing.

ry%3D400

I immediately jumped to it and grabbed about 20 brochures. The reason being is I didn't have a bunch of money so I decided that brochures would make good souvenirs (I later framed a bunch of them). I ended up with about 15 to 20 from each park. Well all except Epcot I grabbed a solitary one from there, some of the other group members were disappointed to not have one but hey, I wasn't giving mine up.

Then we approached the giant sorcerer hat.
ry%3D400

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Apparently DHS favors Sorcerer Mickey too, I'm not complaining.

We then looked around and took in the scenery for a minute or so. Can we just take a minute and appreciate how cool this theming is?

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Like I wish I had a whole day just to walk around here and look at the stuff.

After taking so much in, in so little time we headed over to the finest hotel in all of Tinseltown. The Tower... OF TERROR!

ry%3D400

On the way there we passed Rock 'n' Roller coaster.

ry%3D400

Unfortunately the line was super long and the fast passes were for after the time we had to leave. The struggle was real.

ry%3D400

Thankfully the wait for the ToT was not ungodly long and so we made our way inside to check in.

ry%3D400

ry%3D60

There was a lot of shade in the cue and I was very grateful. Florida is hot like really hot especially when the sun is beating down so any shade was appreciated.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

We got in and the decor was less than welcoming but hey nothing could stop us.

ry%3D400

The bellhops were very good at being creepy. I know they made some people jump around us.
ry%3D400

I think it would be super cool to do this. I love creeping out people like that and I think it would be absolutely hilarious!

Time to go up! This elevator looks so safe and sound I don't foresee any weird happenings on the way up whatsoever.

ry%3D400

The ride was super cool. I mean I didn't foresee any of the ups and downs and it was longer than I thought. WHICH WAS TOTALLY OKAY!

When we got out the Countdown to Fun was running by. MaiLei and Alex sprinted it down like true wumps. I ran a bit behind and the rest of our group decided to slowly walk towards it. Little did I know this was the last time it was every running. Its like I was participating in a bit of park history.

ry%3D400

After the parade was done we went to the next ride on the plan, The Great Movie Ride!

ry%3D400

April 6th, 2013 (Part 4): A Spectacular Journey into the Movies

Me and MaiLei are huge film buffs so the Great Movie Ride was a much anticipated ride.

ry%3D400

On the way in there was a bunch of super cool props and stuff. I was geeking hardcore.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

We got in the big room with the projector but the line wasn't fast slow enough for us to stay and watch it. The struggle is real, people.

ry%3D400

It was time to take a spectacular journey. This was going to get pretty amazing.

ry%3D400

Fun fact during this ride theres a Singing in the Rain thing and I didn't see the movie until way after but now I get it and it's super cool.

ry%3D400

The ride was super legit. We got the cowboy side. Apparently there's a gangster side too. I was not at all prepared for building to explode.

After the ride it was food time. Due to the preparation of MaiLei and Alex we got reservations at Sci-fi Dine In Theatre!

ry%3D400

This was my one big Disney meal on the trip so I was very excited. We got there and

AND

AND

AND

we waited.

Well we were early so it was expected but I was hungry.

ry%3D400

We got this nifty little buzzer thing from the stand thing and waited outside for a little while.

ry%3D400

When we were seated we got awesome seats.

ry%3D400

The waiters came by and asked us for our orders. I honestly can't remember how long it took for the food to get to us. All the shows and stuff they were projecting were super cool.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Tyler was getting really into the shows.

ry%3D400

I have no idea what everyone got. I remember getting a cheeseburger, fries and chocolate milkshake. The cheeseburger was really good. But the highlight was definitely the milkshake. Like holy cow that was a good milkshake.

ry%3D400

After a wonderful meal we went to The Magic of Disney Animation.

April 6th, 2013 (Part 5): Loyal Royal Purples Forever

After eating, our group had trouble choosing what to do next, so we split in two. Me, MaiLei, Alex, and Allie remained together. We were together the whole time and all had purple shirts and so we became the Loyal Royal Purples. After lunch, we LRP's decided to go to The Magic of Disney Animation.

ry%3D400

Once we got in, MaiLei and I beelined towards Ralph and Venelope. Somehow Alex and Allie had failed to see Wreck-It Ralph at this time so they were very confused by the whole thing. I loved the cue leading to them.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

It was so clever and filled with videogame references that I loved. We met them and it was awesome.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

MaiLei and I were dying because they were so cool. We were loving every moment of it. Even though Alex and Allie hadn't seen the movie, they still decided to get in a picture because why not? I mean who doesn't love character hugs.

ry%3D400

Next we made our way to Frozone and Mr. Incredible. While waiting in line we were talking to a CM who made a reference to certain substances and that was a little odd for us. Like I know we are high-schoolers but it was like not so magical. Once we got in, we all made a good deal of Frozone references because you know Frozone's the coolest (Sorry Bob). He also gives awesome hugs. We made our best super poses and took a picture with them.

ry%3D400

The next character to meet was none other than

drum roll please

*drum roll*

SORCERER MICKEY!

While we were waiting in line for Mickey I remember there was a couple of asian girls who were super excited to see him. When they finally met him they were completely freaking out, it was adorable. I don't recall who told me, but they said that you can't take pictures with the characters in Asia so frequently people from Asia come and are super excited to meet the characters. It was finally our turn and we got to meet the mouse.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

After so much character greeting we decided to take these "Which Disney character are you?" quizzes. We did do a great deal of playing around on these but I do remember I was Cogsworth and Alex was Belle when we legit did it.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

After all of our playing around, we went through the area with all of the movie art.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

I'm honestly surprised I didn't die due to the amazingness in there. I wish we could've spent more time just admiring the beauty in there. Fun fact, while we were in there a bunch of their old Academy Awards were taken off display for Saving Mr. Banks. This was like before they were heavily publicizing it so that is how we heard about it.

After this wonderful time we moved on to

This area is just amazing. LIke the giant barrels of monkeys and all of that. There is a definite distinction between here and the rest of Hollywood Studios. So we get in line get ready to meet them.

Now they have all of the Buzz, Woody, and Bullseye's foot prints on the ground. I looked at this on and disgracefully said it was Woody.

Allie then, with the most sass I think it is humanly possible to have, says the simple words "It's Buzz." My cow was forever dishonored by that sass.

We then kept moving on through the line.

Hidden Mickey Alert

Now what is about to follow was probably the best character experience I had on the trip. Alice was a close second but this one was the best. We got there and Allie had her moment with them.

Allie then decided to inform Buzz that she in fact preferred him to Woody.
Buzz was honored.

Woody was devastated.

Us three then went up to meet them. First thing Woody gives great hugs, but Buzz is large, plastic and gives very awkward hugs. I then started poking Buzz's buttons to see if the would do anything. He then bent over and stopped moving.

The Character Attendents were like "You broke buzz!" They then told me I had to fix him, I played along and just kept prodding the buttons on them. Eventually he popped back up and started working again. Yay! It was just an awesome character interaction.

We didn't have much time before we had to leave which was sad so we just decided to meander on our way out of Disney.

I'll be honest, I actually believed the giant facades were real from a distance.

Finally after meandering around it was time to leave. We walked to right near the entrance but right before we left we had one mission left to complete. Alex and MaiLei needed balloons and I needed to buy myself an actual souvenir. So I went literally bolting looking for a stuffed animal of James P. Sullivan. Sulley is my absolute favorite. So after a lot of looking I finally found one that I liked. I bought him and headed back. I met Alex and MaiLei back at the gates but there search was in vain, they couldn't find any balloons. When we finally got out of the park MaiLei and Alex grabbed on to some trees and said if they held on no one could make them leave. I literally dragged them off the trees and we got in the bus.

I have absolutely no recollection of any specific events on the ride home but there were a few things that were general trends.
1) MaiLei and Alex were crying from being homesick (Disney is their home)
2) The bus broke down like 5 times
3) Everyone was exhausted

We finally got home and the trip was over.

I'm going to have one last post about the impact the trip had on me, but for the actual trip this is it. So for those of you who have read the whole thing I hope you enjoyed the ride and thank you for reading.

Final Post

Reflections

It's hard to write this post. Even though the trip happened 9-10 months ago writing this post means my time at Disney World is officially over. The funny thing about when we left Disney is, it was easy for me to say, "Okay Alex and MaiLei we really need to go," but once it hit me that the actual trip was done, it would've been a lot harder for me to do that then. I mean, my whole life I had liked Disney stuff, but after that trip I guess I became a fanatic.

While I was at Disney, I felt homesick, I missed my family. That feeling didn't leave when I came back to my family and I still have it to this day. Everywhere I go I see unintentionally hidden Mickeys, Disney puns are a daily occurrence and I now have park music on my iPod. Disney is a part of my everyday life after the trip and I wouldn't have it any other way.

That Buzz and Woody meet and greet was A+ stuff. And that other Character Attendant at the exit who yelled at you when we came out was hilarious!

Sigh. Those balloons did indeed elude us. But hooray for getting Sulley! Is he still lost, by the way?

Whyyyy did you have to extract us from those trees, Abe? WHYYY? We could have missed the bus and stayed there forever. It's fine.

Not going to lie, I admit I teared up a bit at your final wrap-up post. It's too early in the morning for all these feels. Don't worry, I know you'll make it back there sometime, no matter what.

I can't believe this TR is over, even though it's been dragged out for like 9 months, haha. I hope you and MaiLei and I can have many more Disney adventures together. Once we've converted you, you're never turning back.
