We really fancy the lucky nugget saloon for dinner on our first night. Could anyone tell me what the food is like and what the kids choice is?

Hi

We went twice in August. We liked it. The food was average, but we like the character interaction. We saw Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Giepeto, Pinnochio and a few others.

The childrens options was chips, pizza, nuggets and something else. They had chicken fajitas, ribs, steak on one day and sausages on another day. It was ok a little average and food was not piping hot. The desserts ranged from chocolate mousse, brownies, crepes, ice lollies.

The kids didnt really eat miuch to be honest. Mainly due to wanting to be with the characters than eat. They came round your table individually, but it was rather annoying when you get a bunch of kids trying to push in front of your children when its your turn. The characters would point to them and tell them to sit down. Some listened and the table after ours sure didnt listen :furious:

Its a good experience for a cheaper alternative than Innoventions and Cafe Mickey.

We would like to do this too when we go next week, but as the park is only open until 7pm I think it'll have to be lunchtime as I don't think it'll be open for dinner. Julie.

Does someone know if The Lucky Nugget Saloon has a non character dinner in high season?
Or does the restaurant in high season also close after lunch? :confused3
At the end of October and start of November the park is open from 9am-10pm so I hope the Lucky Nugget Saloon will be open for dinner also! Does somebody know further details?

I *think* it's character meals only at the Lucky Nugget, whether it's lunch time or dinner time.

we went to the Lucky Nuggett for my Daughters birthday. It was great.
The food was very nice I thought, but Hubby wasn't overly impressed.
We paid for a birthday visit from Minnie & Mickey and cake for my Daughter but the CM's just couldn't keep guests away from our table while we did the cake. We have photos of other guests getting autographs. Such a let down. I would eat there again though.

I read somewhere that TLN has Can Can Shows. :dance3:

Can anyone confirm if this is the case as I want to book in advance and would like to do it when there is one happening.

I don't think that has been there for several years Sarah. Both times we have been there has been this band playing, they are very good and really add to the atmosphere :rockband:

The can can shows have stopped I'm afraid sarah, there is an oldtime band playing on and off though - we enjoyed our meal, there was something for everyone and we had very good character interaction :)

Thanks Elaine & Jill.

A band will be great though. Its nice to have some musical atmosphere. :rockband:
