Lucky and Devine at AK?

Who and what are these at AK?

Lucky is a dinasour that interacts with guests. Devine is an incredible character. She is dressed in browns and greens and covered with vines. She wears stilts (also covered by vines) and leans against walls, completely still. Sometimes it's hard to see her and unsuspecting guests have gotten quite a shock when she moves. Great photo op (she will pose) if you happen to see her! My youngest DD wants to dress as Devine when we go for MNSVSHP!

Well, gee, we all know that all dinosaurs are extinct!!!!
But cereally...didn't Lucky just surface recently? WHy is he being extinguised?

My best friend and our kids were on Chester and Hester's Whirl ride (laughed so hard we cried and went on twice). Our dh's thought we lost our minds and were waiting for us and they saw Lucky the Dinosaur. I'm so bummed I missed him. We did see Devine in action. She is amazing. A little spooky with that green paint on her face but graceful as can be. Amazing. My friend just was shocked. Does anyone know if Devine has always been a woman? Because on one of our trips (2002) we were entering AK and a vine jumped out and grabbed me. I don't remember it being a woman. I screamed and gave quite a chuckle to everyone walking behind me.

P.S. No, I was truly sober although reading that a "vine jumped out and grabbed me" doesn't sound like it.

It looks like there are four there. How does that work?

She has stilts on her legs and on her arms (don't know if the ones on her arms are technically stilts but what else would you call 'em?!!! ) -- makes her look like she's got 4 legs! A funny story about Devine -- when we were there in May, we saw her. I went up close to get some pictures. My DH was on the fringes of the crowd watching her. Three teenagers asked him if he was operating "it" -- meaning Devine! They couldn't believe she was a real person and thought he was a CM controlling her!!!
