Luck with walk ups?

I made my reservations right at 60 days prior and couldn’t believe how much was not available compared to years past. Are they accepting walks ups more often now? Any luck with walking up to not super popular restaurants? We’re interested in Hollywood brown derby, Kona, the Plaza, sci fi done in, Tony’s, teppan edo, via Napoli etc.

Also, be sure to check your MDE app while there. It will tell you if the restaurant is accepting walk ups, wait times, etc. Go to the Tip Board/Dining.

Not sure how big your party is but I stressed about Via Napoli for weeks setting up alerts etc. Finally snagged it. Well my parents who are newbies and not tech savvy liked it so much they wanted to go back a second time. I warned them it’d be impossible and no way…it was just the two of them and they walked up to the hostess and were seated faster than we were the previous time with a reservation! They were like I don’t know why you were so stressed out…lol…not.

For non Disney owned restaurants use “open table” .

I found the day before, reservations opened up as people were cancelling. We snagged a couple of reservations on the fly last week.
I didn't see many that had walk up availability though.

I've had good luck with walk-ups at Kona after a day at MK. Best of luck to you!
