I asked on Tuesday for views on Mid-Times versus the P-Luau. Thanks to those who wrote. We've decided to keep it Disney, especially since we can drive to New Jersey and see the MT. But my wife brought up the Hoop Dee Doo Review. Although I went to the luau twenty years ago and understand it in principle, I have no idea what goes on at the review. Anyone who's been to both want to drop a brief description of the review and which one you'd choose if you had time for only one?

Thanks for all the help!

Pat

I think this is truly a matter of preference. We prefered the luau as did our children. I think this had alot to do with our seating. We were very close for the luau, but in the very back for the review. We felt like we were in paradise during the luau. My children also enjoyed the music more and were entertained for a longer period of time. I think both shows are fabulous and you can't go wrong either way.

this is Tess's DH - - we have dined at both the luau and hoop dee doo with seats in the front and the back (one year @ the Review it was upstairs) and All of us Tess, DS (14) & DD (12) enjoy the Hoop Dee Doo Review. Better food and much better entertainment

Hey Tess' DH-We too have done both and I agree with you-Hoop dee do food and entertainment value is better. More interactive with kids-they get to join in - play the washboard...etc
Definitely louder.

We did the Luau once, it was fun, I would definitely say that it is well worth the money.

We have done the Hoop Dee Doo about six times in the last twelve years. It is always a great time with good food. It appeals to all ages and as long as you don't take yourself too seriously, you will have a blast too.

Agree. You haven't lived until you play a Fairy in a Tutu. Haven't attended the Hoop Dee Doo Show since summer 01 but it has always been fun.:)

We were thinking of making a PS for the new Aloha Show that replaced the Luau. Has anyone been there recently? The reviews haven't been good on WDWIG.

Thanks to all who levied opinions. We've made a PS for HDD in June, based on the menu and the interactiveness of the show. We're more likely to have fun at the AC than at Cirque, and corny is our speed. We appreciate your help in making this oh-so important decision!
