Luau - should we or not

We are going for the first week of February and have an opening and have been considering going to the Poly and the Luau........Not sure if it is worth the $300 it will cost my family. We did the Hoop Dee Doo and loved it, but do not remember it costing so much years before..........any thoughts?

We're not fans of the Luau. Didn't care for the food or the show. Found it rather average.

My boys LOVE the Hoop De Doo, that one I highly recommend.

From what I read around here, its not possible to like both dinner shows. You tend to like one or the other.

Personaly, me and my wife love the Luau, but will admit its not for everyone. I think the food is very good, other then the desert, and the show is not bad. But if you do end up going, make sure you stay till the end of the show, as it picks up in the 2nd half.

I was pretty disappointed in the Luau. The food was pretty good and the show decent, but I didn't think that it was worth the 2 credits on the dining plan. We will not be going back.

I'm in the minority that likes the Luau. I can't say I LOVE it, but I do find it entertaining in parts....FireDancerMan, particularly. I find the food pretty good, the service a little sparse. I'd try it once. Of course, I'd try anything once.

We did the HDDR in 2006 and loved it. We did the luau in 2007, and liked it pretty good. The food was incredible... especially the bread. The 1st 1/2 of the show was dull, and hard to hear. The dancers were good, but it went on too long. The fire dancer at the end was incredible. We did enjoy the evening, and felt we got our money's worth. That being said, it was a "been there, done that" type of show, and we will probably not go back.
