Last weekend the Luau at the Poly was cancelled on both Friday and Saturday due to rain (so much for those hit and run afternoon storms in Florida). My question is... on Saturday the rain did not start until after 6 pm and then lasted until after 10pm. Since the rain started after 6pm, does Disney do anything for the people whose Luau started at 5:15? We figure they were probably already served dinner but did not get desert or the full show. Our 8 pm show was cancelled so we got a full refund.
The tip I have is to have a backup ADR for when you have your Luau scheduled. If the show is cancelled at least you will have a backup plan. Our choices for dinner at 7:45 was Fulton Crab House with 20 minutes to get from the Poly to DTD, 9:30 at the Concourse Steakhouse, or Trails End.
