We are going in Aug the day that FD starts. We upgraded our meal plan and after booking all our character breakfasts a a few dinners, still have a few meals left over. I want to go to the Luau, but she doesn't. I have a friend who went back in November who I was hoping would be on my side, but she said she would skip it. Just wanted to get some opinions. Basically the way that my DF(Disney friend) that I'm going with looks at it, she doesnt think that the Luau is worth Le Celeier and Chefs du France... What are y'alls opinions?

You have free dining- a perfect time to try something you might not normally be willing to take a risk on! Whether or not it's "worth" as much as one particular place or another is completely subjective. You said your friend mentioned Le Cellier and Chefs de France- is he/she saying they'd rather try one of those instead of the luau, or are they just saying they don't think the value is the same?

We've done both of those, and love them. She is saying she would rather do those two than the Luau... She did it when she was younger and didn't like it that much.

Some people really love the luau ... we personally didn't. We found the show to be very cheezy - best part were the flame throwers and that part didn't last very long. The meal just wasn't great ... and the wine was cheap. :scared: I didn't think it was worth the ticket price (we paid OOP), and I definitely wouldn't use 2 TS credits for it. JMHO

Overall the Luau gets mixed reviews. We did it on our last trip and although I probably wouldn't do it again, I was glad that we did try it. The food is okay. It is a dinner show and that is why it is the two credits. If you are looking for a good meal, go to the other places. If you are looking for overall experience, then give it a try.

We called and made the last of our reservations today. We went with 'Ohana for dinner and the Biergarten with our last two. 'Ohana will give us a little view of Wishes and Biergarten is something new we haven't tried, so I'm satisfied... This is the first time we have gone on a trip for double digit days, so I definitely wanted to try some new stuff with our excess meals!

Have a great trip! 'Ohana is always a good choice and Biergarten is a fun place. Enjoy :)
