LUAU help

HI,,,I am invited to a LUAU...now I know everyone will be wearing clothes to fit the party.....I myself am another one of those lovely POOH SIZE ladies and I really do not want to wear a SKIRT..or such,,,,I WAS thinking of wearing a little grass skirt AND a COCONUT Bra but,,, I at sometime would like to be invited back LOL....My question is,,would it be OK to wear a pair of jeans and a PRINT blouse?? And a flower in my hair !!! I just don't want to STICK out in the group..and maybe someone thinking SHE GOT THE WRONG invite--the COWGIRL party ia next week LOL...any help would be GREAT!!! I trust my DIS Bsothers and SISTERS will tell me if jeans are ok!!!

Pooh-sized here, myself. Do you have any white shorts or clamdiggers? That's what I'd wear with the print blouse, lei & flower in the hair. I'm sure jeans would be find if you don't have something a little lighter weight. Jeans just seem so heavy to me in the summer.

Wear what you are comfortable with. There is a wide range of dress. I normally wear slacks and a polo or tropical type shirt.

It just so happens that my DH and I just had a Luau. Pig roasting and all. People of many sizes attended and as long as the had on a festive type shirt they fit right in. I myself am not petite and I worn denim short with a sleeveless shirt with small hula dancers on it. I say wear what makes you feel good otherwise you won't enjoy youself. Maybe bring a pinnapple to the party that should be a hit.

Thanks ya all,,, the party is at night so I thought jeans would be ok,,yes i will have a lei and a flower in my hair,,,I am just a bit on the SHY side and this is going to be a party where I am the NEW gal in the group,,,these people are friends of the guy I am going with,,,and his wife (you has passed away 4 years ago) was the BEST friend of the party giver,,,,and his wife was a SMALL sized lady so I am just a bit on the defense LOL....I KNOW it will be one of those comparison games,,,BUT my sister said,, HEY IF HE IS COMFORTABLE bringing you that is all that matters,,,,so I guess thats true......Thanks for your imput,,,
