We did this on our Honeymoon in 1996. We want to bring our kids (8 & 6) in april.
How is it now and is it kid friendly?

Recent reviews have been just OK - not great, but not really bad. Its certainly kid friendly. Its most likely an experience that your children haven't had before.

We went back in 2006 when our DD was 5 y.o. - she was totally engrossed in the show the entire time! :lovestruc

We did the Luau for the first time in September '07 and we really enjoyed it :goodvibes. We thought the food was great and the show was cute....we especially liked the fire dancers at the end :).

I brough my DD and DS (3and6) to the luau in nov. they had a bast. they loved the dancing and food. It was way more kid friendly then hoopdeedoo.

The food is OK- nothing spectacular - the show's story line is tacky but there is great singing and entertainment. The male dancers who do tricks with fire is the highlight of the show. The kids will definetly be engrossed. :)

We went in December to the Luau.We took our DS4 and he loved it,they even went and got Mac and Cheese for him since some of the other food was not to his liking.I am not really sure he ate alot as he was so engrosed in the show.Coming from the Pacific Island area originally yes the story line was a little cheesey but we would definitly go again.:goodvibes
