How is it? Is it a good place for food? How is the food? Is it worth the price?:confused3

We were there about 3 years ago - enjoyed the entertainment (though the "story" was a bit campy at times), but the food was horrible. We would definitely not spend the $$ to go again. However, I don't regret that we saw it once.

What type of food is there? I've heard bad reviews from other people that work for a book called pasporter. Is the entertainment ok? :confused3 :mickeyjum :mickeyjum :mickeyjum :mickeyjum :mickeyjum :mickeyjum :mickeyjum

Here is a link that will give you a description of what to expect and the menu. I think the entertainment was worth it. Like I said, I don't regret going to see it - I just wouldn't do it 2x. If you've never been, then I would go for it :thumbsup2

We have already paid for it so we are going to try it. i may just have the kids eat before we go. our ressie is at 8pm :goodvibes

Wow, that's great. I just wanted to say have a great time, have fun and enjoy in your upcoming trip. Looking forward in hearing more from you after you came back.

Have a nice day everyone. :)

The good news: The show is a nice experience, (especially if you are staying at The Poly) and the fire dancers are really fun to watch.

The bad news: The food and sometimes the service are pretty bad. Between the mid 80's and today we've done this about four times. I swear, the food has not changed one bit in all that time. It's served somewhere between slightly warm and cold, the flavors are bland and the 'all you can drink' beer and wine is a joke. (You need to get the attention of your server for that drink refill, and good luck with that... )

Given the price that is charged for this experience, it's really unacceptable.

I've worked in food service for years. I know it's possible to serve that many people piping hot, good quality food all at the same time without that much effort.

But it does require money from 'the boss' to do so, and Disney is just not budging on this point.

Shame.

We went last August. I was on the fence because of the mixed reviews. So, I scheduled it the first night we were there. That way, I could say "Wow, what a great time we are going to have!" or "It can only get better than that, right".

For first timers to Disney, it was good. My DH actually loved the food. Ours was hot, the service GREAT, and my niece got chosen to be the leader of the dessert parade. The boys had plenty to eat - rice, chicken and the veggies, too. The loved the shows, especially the fire twirler.

We are going back to Disney in July, DH wants to go back to the Luau. It was just "okay" for me. I am scheduling the Hoop-Di-Doo dinner show this year. I think my boys will really enjoy that one, but I do here that there food is just "okay" too. (My boys actually requested going back to Garden Grill.)
