A few questions about Liberty Tree Tavern..
should they be open by the end of February
Do they serve alcohol?
Is LTT better than BOG for lunch? I'm on the fence between the two.
TIA!

It should be opened by the end of February. It is scheduled to be opened 11/20ish. I have read that it is behind, but I can't image it that far behind schedule. There is no alcohol served. We have never been for lunch only dinner and really enjoy it there. It is my husband must do every trip. I have done BOG for lunch and I was overly impressed with the meal, I know others love it. We have been to dinner at BOG several times and enjoy that. We are planning on both for dinner on our next trip.

Yes they should be open in Dec.
No alcohol, only BOG serves alcohol with dinner in MK.
I think it is much better than BOG-ooey gooey toffee cake-best dessert in all of WDW-IMO-is only available at lunch. The burger and pot roast are very good, the Liberty Boys BLT is amazing. The lunch menu is completely different than the dinner which is also very good.

I hit reply too soon.
ETA We have had lunch at BOG twice-nothing stood out as amazing. The fries are like McDonald's fries, nothing spectacular about the sandwiches and I think the cupcakes are very overrated. We prefer dinner there.

I'd go LTT over BOG. My DD and I ate at BOG in July and have reservation in Dec and the food is just ok. I agree with a previous poster about the cupcakes - I couldn't wait to try them because they sounded so good. It was just ok and way overpriced. I think we were more excited over the atmosphere and the fact that it's a new restaurant. LTT is always a favorite and the food is good. We've not done lunch there before and if it's open the end of Dec., I'm hoping to get LTT.

. . . it is seriously behind schedule
. . . but, enough is done to open
. . . current plans are for staffing on Nov-15 (per a meeting this past week)

Oooey gooey toffee cake is ammmmmaaaazzzzing! The Colony salad is very tasty too. My picky burger husband says the burgers are the best on property. Fingers and toes crossed they open for our trip in Dec.

As someone who has eaten at both multipe times, let me put it this way...I have a BOG lunch ADR for 11/30, but I am checking daily to see if LTT is available. I don't know if it is the best burger on property, but it sure is good! And I loooooooove the ooey gooey toffee cake.

I definitely prefer LTT for lunch (toffee cake!) if my choice is based on food alone. The atmosphere of BOG is great, it's worth going once just to see inside. If you are on the Dining Plan the lunch at BOG (QS credit) is a much better value than a TS credit at LTT. I am still hoping that reservations open up for LTT for the first week of December.

The pot roast at LTT is amazing, I would take that over BOG or almost any other WDW meal any day.

I think it depends on how badly you want to see the inside of BOG. I enjoyed my lunch there and thought it was a step above the average CS meal. If this is your only chance to see BOG and/or you are a huge Beauty and the Beast fan, I would probably opt to go to BOG. Otherwise, I think LTT has better food and a more relaxing atmosphere. As others have mentioned, the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake is outstanding and only available at lunch.

I have ADR ar CP and like you, I am checking daily for LTT Lunch. I want toffee cake!

As most everyone else has already stated, the food at LTT is much better than at BOG....lunch or dinner. The ooey-gooey toffee cake is heavenly.

Any idea on when reservations will be taken? We are at WDW from 11/15-11/20. I will totally rearrange any dinner so that I can eat there, I was really upset that it was going to be closed for our trip. I keep checking every day for reservations.
