Hi all! It's a long story but we are bringing our kids to WDW for the first time in their lives and we are headed to LTT which is one of my faves. Our problem is that our oldest is 11 and will be ordering off adult menus but sometimes the portions are just huge like at LTT. We are planning on sharing our meals with our kids but DH is concerned that this isn't proper behavior. Has anyone done this?

Any other restaurants out there that you all have shared at?

We share almost every meal. I don't think you can at LTT dinner since it is sort of like buffet/family style. But you can at lunch. My mom and I split a burger (good!) and they even cut it first and brought it out on two plates.

Buffets, shows, family style, etc. you have to pay for each person. But for a regular type meal, I've never had an issue. We also split most of our counter service meals.

You can share any meal that is not part of a buffet, family style, or show as PP said. We always split meals because the portions are huge at Disney. Much larger than we're used to at home, so it makes no sense to eat a full meal per person. We have encountered a few restaurants in DTD that charge plating fees if you split (Fultons, and House of Blues)

We usually split like this at Hollywood Brown Derby:
1 Cobb salad
2 Tuna Tartar Apps (that's if it's my mom and I, Dbf won't eat the stuff)
1 White Chocolate Banana Toffee Tower thing.

and that's for two people. It's plenty.
