I will say that LSU is much better than USC...It was not a dual championship we have the trophy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry we wont be in the World then but we will be cheering for our boys at home!!! We always wear our purple and gold when we go to Disney!!!!!!!!!

Wish I could say I'd join you...but that game on Saturday was TOOO painful! After that loss and Katrina...I just can't take it anymore!

I just keep reminding myself how good it felt once upon a time to walk out of that Superdome after winning the National Championship and seeing all of downtown lit up in purple and gold with horns beeping the LSU chant.

I hope to get that feeling back some day!

lol yeah at least you experienced winning one anyway i have waited for saturday for a long time i haven't missed a dawg game in 2 1/2 yrs. ( last one i missed when we went to baton rouge) i remember that night we lost to yall in 2003 34-13 i am 12 and was 10 at the time so i came out of the dome with big tears streaming down my eyes and was very upset i couldn't wait till next time we got there that was this year so this year i came out of the dome with tears of joy and a SEC champs UGA t-shirt i will be looking forward sometime to experience a national title so yall go beat miami!!! you can have the trophy, but everyone outside if the south believes that USC is the two time defending national champions, going for a 3rd this year. All you ever here is that on sportcenter, in the papers, anywhere you look. Oh and I am not a USC fan, quite the opposite actually, I am a Cal Bears fan.

OK, it PAINS me to say this, because I am no fan of LSU (that NC game was torture, and now they have Les Miles as a coach ), but they were the National Champions that year. They won the designated National Championship game, and they received the trophy. It's funny how the BCS didn't work when USC was left out of the NC game, but the next year when Auburn was left out, USC thought it worked just fine.

Now I'm going to say something that pains me even more: Go Texas. scared1: I can't believe I just said that! But, they can't both lose, can they?)

Why do you think that outside of USC, no one thinks they are 2 time champions? Yes Auburn got the shaft last year, but no one even glanced at them being NC, yet everyone had USC rated #1 the year before, and they were thought to be the NC to everyone outside of the south.

It must be quite a burden speaking for the whole country..... Believe it or not, ESPN is not considered THE AUTHORITY on all sports everywhere. They REPORT the sports news...... I don't know who is best...that can only be decided by the teams playing each other. But until the presidents decide to do it that way, we have to deal with what we've got...LSU got the trophy, LSU were the champs. Nuff Said.

Well, as you can see by my signature I am a Bama fan. We had a great year going until LSU came along! We were still smarting from the LSU game when we met Auburn and they took advantage of it. Oh well, win some, lose some. It is still fun to be a fan! And I could give you some great examples of when Bama fans felt like we were 'cheated' out of a champtionship title. But we don't claim any we weren't awarded...even if we felt we deserved them.

I feel like LSU will win and I was actually shocked at the outcome of the SEC Championship game. But I must say that even with the loss LSU got rooked by the bowl selections. LSU should be playing Wisconsin in the Capital One Bowl and Auburn should be in the Outback Bowl, with Florida in the Peach. Bama & South Carolina are where they belong.

Now...don't get me started on Steve Spurrier winning the SEC coach of the year! THIS is an example of reporters being infatuated with a personality instead of looking at the facts. In my opinion, 3 other coaches did better jobs than Spurrier this year.

Yeah, ok, as I said, the South is the only region that thinks that LSU won the NC that year, until you prove to me otherwise, I stand by my comment. Oh and while polling 10000 football fans, 60% said USC was the NC, vs. 25% for "split" and 15% for LSU, so I am not alone. I just don't think college football is the greatest thing ever, like the South does, you guys live and breathe it, the way some of your fans act is reason enough for me to now start pulling against the SEC for ALL bowl games. I even plan on rooting for Texas Tech, a team I loathe.

And out of all of those teams, I actually have 5 of them to win there bowl games, (even I can't see Missouri winning though). Bama will get schooled by the Texas Tech passing assault, LSU will get exposed by the U, hopefully Brad Smith can live up to the hype for just one game, Iowa isn't playing a team called Iowa St so they will show up in full force, Wisconsin will be playing with so much emotion and passion for Alvarez's last game it will be something unique, and no one has given West Virginia any credit so I look to them to just rock Shockley's world.

And the fact you say ESPN's opinion doesn't matter? are you joking? if they aren't the foremost authority on sports, then who is?

Check out the above article. This young man plays for LSU as our center. He has never made a grade below an A while at LSU.

Im not saying there aren't smart people there, but then LSU IS a state college, I'm not to savy on my academic schools in that region other than I know that Tulane is a very prestigous medical school, but I would think that getting straight A's as say, Louisiana Monroe, would be a lot harder since it is a university and not a state school.

But the overall academics of the school I would presume LSU be in the bottom of the SEC with Miss. St. I think that Vanderbilt and Florida, are tops in academics in the SEC, I have even been told that Florida was the "Ivy League of the South" but I really don't know anything about that area, other than what I have read.

Awww...we leave WDW on the 24th so we'll be back here to watch the game. Actually, we have a wedding to go to during the day...how dare they! Guess they were hoping for a better bowl game when they planned the wedding.

Uuaww...you should really do your research before you try to bash LSU. You obviously know nothing about Louisiana colleges. Your statement re Louisiana Monroe couldn't be more wrong. You do realize what the letters "LSU" stand for, right?
