I saw a segment on NBC news last night (http://www.nbcnews.com/nightly-news...ging-down-costs-of-generic-drugs-624105027880) and thought I would share. There was also an article in the New York Times last week talking about this (http://www.nytimes.com/2016/02/10/b...-by-pulling-back-the-curtain-online.html?_r=0).
If you are taking one or more generic prescriptions and the cost is adding up, this might be worth looking into.
The company mentioned in the NBC story, Blink Health (https://www.blinkhealth.com/) does not care if you have insurance coverage or not. Neither does Good RX (http://www.goodrx.com/), mentioned in the NY Times article.
Full disclosure - I checked pricing for my generic meds through Blink and Good RX and found I pay less by going directly through my insurance and pharmacy so I won't be using these websites, at least for now, but I'm glad to know about them. If you have little or no insurance coverage for generic medications, this may help save some money.
