Lower crowd levels?

With the HM and SE closed this summer, does anyone think it will make late June through July more bearable? Those seem to the worst months of the year to go to any of the parks. I wonder if word will get around quickly to the point that, by July, the crowd levels will drop because everyone will be waiting for both attractions to re-open. If the crowd levels do plummet, I'll definitely go. Anyone have any ideas? For example, when they tore down the STT, did crowd levels drop for that month? What about 20,000 LUTS or MTWR?

I think any drop in total park "population" is going to be offset by having that many fewer rides in operation, so everyone will be on the remainder. I doubt SSE be doing will keep anyone from going to EPCOT.

If anything, other attractions might have slightly longer waits because of the reduced park capacity.

I'd lean towards more lines at other attractions. As popular as those attractions are, I don't see millions of people not going to the parks because of it. But hey ... you never know! LOL

I would think that 95% of the people going from late June through July wont even know the two are shut down untill they show up to ride them.

Agreed. This is the first time I've actually planned out my vacation before going, and otherwise wouldn't have known they were closed.

I don't think it will affect summer crowds. The average vacation goer may not even know these attractions are closed until they arrive.
