Anyone have this bag? Thoughts? Suggestions for comparable bags that are easy to carry around?

I have it and love it. Very easy to carry - the weight is evenly distributed and the waterproof cover is a huge plus.

I have this bag as well. Very comfortable and roomy enough for all the gear I need as well as stuff I don't.

I have it and I went to WDW with it. I took my XTI, 18-55, 70-300, and a 10-22 along with a speedlight and carried it around with out any hassles.

Thanks so much for your reviews..looks like the "ayes" have it :goodvibes:

I really need a new bag for carrying purposes. My Canon bag is just too bulky and I couldn't imagine taking it to the parks with me!

It's a great bag! Can get a bit heavy, but the waist strap helps with the weight distribution. We took last august:

D200 w/ 18-70mm
70-300mm
speedlight 800
extra batteries
lens hood

There was still a free compartment, I think, in the main body, and definitely space up top in the little section. DH says that we will stick the new HV20 up in the little section...

I have this bag too, and I love it. 2 thumbs up!

I have this bag (and a few others) and find that I can fit about the same in a Nova 3 AW (without the tiny uper area). Depending on what I am doing it is a tough call between the two. The sidline shooter is very comfortable and holds a lot, but as my DKs tell me I look very geekly.

I am looking for a bag that can carry a Rebel XT with battery grip and 70-200 f/2.8 IS attached with room for an extra lens or two. Will this one work? I have the standard/cheap Canon backback that works great for the cost. It holds just about all of my equipment, but sometimes I don't want to lug everything around so I'm looking for something to carry a smaller setup when I want to travel light.

Yeah, it is a bit on the geeky side. I bought one of those Crumpler "$4 or $5 million homes" (can't remember which one). It's a messenger style bag and I loved the way it looked, but I figured it wasn't worth the chiropractic bills I'd have incurred lugging it around on week long vacations, so I replaced it with the Slingshot. I've actually been using my old smaller Tamrac backpack more often than the LowePro lately, but the Slingshot is nice on vacations when I want to carry around a little more gear.

No it will not fit with the 70-200 attached. I have mine with the 24-70 attached and the 70-200 in a seperate compartment. I also have a 430 speed light, and that pretty much fills the main compartment.

Thats good to know. I think I'm leaning towards the Lowepro Topload 75 AW as my "grab one lens and go" bag. It should hold my XT with grip, 70-200 f/2.8 IS attached with 1.4x extender also attached. Plus have room for spare batteries, cards, blower and probably even my 430ex. I already have a few of their lens pouches to fit on the side so that will help too if I want to add my 10-22 just for fun.

I don't mind lugging the whole pack when we are driving somewhere, but man, I have got to find a way to lighten the load when we are walking.

Check out the new Lowepro Fastpack 350. Just like the Slingshot but with two shoulder straps.
