Our water pressure is very low right now - it's warm outside so the pipes shouldn't be frozen.

There is also dark deposit in the toilet tank.

Does anyone know what it could be? Thank you.

poop ::yes::

when we moved into our house we had low water pressure as well. Instead of calling a plumber, I called our local water authority. The guy came out, checked everything and then said "yep - you have low water pressure" Duh - that's why I called you!. He showed me a valve that was in the basement that wasn't adjusted correctly and said "have a great day". I asked him what I owed him and he told me nothing! That's why you should always call the water authority first he said.

I suggest you do the same...it might be helpful to you too.

We also had really low water pressure when we first moved into our new house. Our builder came over and agreed there was a problem. Turns out we had the same issue, the water valve from thes treet wasn't all the way on. Then DH removed the flow restrictors from the showers, and it was all good :)

But our water pressure was fine until yesterday.

I'd call the water company.
