Anyone out there try to eat low-carb or Adkin's Diet regimen at the Magic Kingdom "Crystal Palace Restaurant"?

What was your experience?

I am trying to list one restaurant per thread and talk about low-carb eating at that particular restaurant.

A lot of us on the DIS W.I.S.H.(We're Inspired to Stay Healthy) forum are trying to eat low-carb or Adkin's Diet at Walt Disney World.

I will list some of the low-carb foods from the menu below. I can add or subtract the foods as we learn more about the hidden carbs. Maybe we can even add the nutrient values to each food. You can use the links below to research the whole menu. Who wants to start?

Ray- I haven't eaten at LTT while on Atkins but I have been at WDW while dieting and what I would do is either tell guest services at my resort or call restaurant myself the day before (at an off time not during rushes) and each time the CHEF would call me up and ask me what I like to eat and whats fresh from the market and we either would plan something together or I'd give him guidelines like allergic to shellfish eating low fat surprise me (of course those where the days before Dr. Atkins enlightened me). I should have my DH post on WISH BB. He lost 200LBs in 14mos on Atkins!! But he is 6'8" and now has wears a 32" pants. I only lost 22 in 3 months but I just had twins.

Interesting. My own DH is on Atkins (about 2 months now) and has lost 25 lbs. so far. He plans to continue on Atkins at WDW. It might be a little challenging, but he says he can do it.

Not me - when I go to WDW, I eat EVERYTHING I shouldn't.;)

I am going to give you an unsolicited testimonial. My DH has lost a ton on Atkins. 10 days at WDW and we pigged out (translated--no ATKINS!!!) . Dessert almost at every meal. Appetizers. You name it. He came home and had lost 2 pounds from all the walking. Now he's back on Atkins and has lost 4 additional pounds since last month.
