Our Jr. Sr. Prom was held this past Saturday and as I am a junior, it was my first prom. Now, I had a complete blast but according to some seniors, the prom was a horrific event that consisted of nothing but two blown fuses, poor lighting and "icky" food. Also, prom is classified as a "junior" prom with seniors given the option to attend, therefore it was my class who had planned and organized the event. Anyway, our class had a tight budget and could only afford so much. Again, I thought the prom was excellent but when is it REALLY considered to be, well, cheap?
Our prom was held at a country club.
We had a DJ
The meal included a fruit cup, salad, choice of either beef, chicken or veggi and then a sundae for dessert.
We had coke and sprite (some argued it was "seltzer" water lol)
It lasted from 6-11 with the first hour as social hour and the last two hours for dancing.
Pictures were set up right next to the tables.
Tickets cost $50.
Was our prom a little on "cheap" side? In other words, do the some of these seniors have it right when they say it was a complete and utter mess?
