Hey!! We literally just decided to do a low budget trip this coming August.

If you could only do 2 big “things” like a meal, or a show (HDDR for example) what would you choose??

It’s myself and Husband and our 3 daughters ages 7,16 & 17.

TIA!!

I would probably opt for a MK fireworks dessert party as the "big" thing. If HDDR comes back, I would do that as well and probably plan a day at Ft. W (stables, kayak/canoe rental, etc.)

Some lower budget things we have done and enjoyed:

Archery at Ft. Wilderness
Horseback riding at Ft. Wilderness
Caring for Giants tour at AK
Visiting different resorts
Doing a "monorail crawl" to visit CR, Poly and GF (you could grab something to eat/drink at each and explore the resort)
HDDR is fun but not running right now

Higher budget things we've done:
VIP tour
Fireworks cruise
Day of Thrills tour

You could also use the $ you would have spent on an event/meal towards purchasing LL passes for must do attractions.

I would do a princess meal for your youngest daughter. She is the perfect age. The older girls will enjoy seeing it through her eyes.

Depends on your definition of low budget and how often you go to Disney. For me personally, I would want to maximize the length of the trip, so I would prefer to put my budget towards more days/park tickets. We typically do one table service per day, but if I wanted to save money that could be cut to mostly CS. Any certain characters your kids are into? You could spring for one special character or TS meal.
