Low AAA Discount for 2002?Not when I call!

Hi,

I just started reading the message boards for Universal, as we are booked at the Hard Rock for 3 nights at the end of March. My lowest price was with the AAA discount, for $224 a night. (standard garden view)

I don't understand how others in this discussion board have gotten rates for as low as $148!!! I tried calling Universal this morning, and I still only was quoted $224.

Can someone please tell me how they got these low low rates? Also, I checked out Expedia, and they are lower, ($199), but they want full payment up front, which is not really a big deal, but it bugs me!

Please help me if you can!

I booked through Loews and we have a garden view room, Jan 18 - Jan 21 for $99 per night,
The phone number I called was 1-800-563-9711. It was a AAA rate.

Whoever you are, you are a doll. Thanks so much for
giving me the info. on the Loews res. number.

I called just now and saved myself $300 plus tax for the
three nights I booked in March.

Thanks so much!!! I've always found the info. I needed on
these message boards.
