lovin' Dollar Tree

I was itching to go shopping at Dollar Tree (is that weird?) so I went over lunch. If you look really hard you can find the neatest stuff in that store - and we have quite a few in the area (I can think of 4 off the top of my head that are within a 15 minute drive from home), each offering a different selection of goodies.

I picked up a cool vinyl shower organizer. It has 9 pockets for stuff and can be hooked to the shower curtain rings with two grommets . I also got a lime green plastic carry basket (like the ones they use on Clean Sweep) and a metal one with a handle for stowing stuff in the shower or by the sink. They also had 5-load liquid All laundry detergent and an off-brand package of dish-wipes. I also snagged a Disney memo pad with Mickey and Friends on it. All of this is getting put in to a box of goodies for Disney.

Oh - they had 5-pack travel toothbrushes. The package included a cover for the head of each toothbrush. I should have picked those up.

Last week I got a 12-pocket cloth organizer that can be hung on a hook or knob, a small Disney notebook with Mickey and Minnie and a plastic coupon file that's long enough to fit park maps and what-nots.

I LOVE Dollar Tree and go there all the time. I just bought a set of glasses that are identical to the ones they served us water and tea in while dinning on the DCL!

I used to be the store manager of a dollar tree and let me tell you i was like a little kid every time we got a new shipment....loved the stuff and you never knew what you might get.

Mine sells ice cream novelties...individual items like frozen snickers, etc...maybe your is going to, too!!!

Last week I also picked up some stuff for our trip - twopack of rain ponchos, travel toothbrushes, nightlight for hotel room, shoe holder to hang on bathroom door (not enough counter space in hotel bath!) I feel the need to go back to Dollar Tree for more...

Just got back from the Dollar Tree and they had Disney Princess workbooks - spelling, math, and reading, along with the matching flash cards. They also had some in Toy Story and Finding Nemo. They also had little Disney Princess purses with jacks in them. Very cute!

Is everything a dollar at The Dollar Store?

The answer is no...somethings are 2 for a dollar or 3 for a dollar, so even better bargains!

We have Dollar Tree locally, but about an hour away they have Deal$, another dollar store, which I think are even better, so whenever I'm in the area I stop in a check out what they have. They have a frozen food section, where last year I bought a Fire Apple Pie. The brown packing boxes said "Mrs. Smith", but when I called the toll free number to get baking directions they answered, Schwan's". It was pretty tasty...especially for a buck!

At either store I always find great deals.

I also like Deal$ better. It's a little more hit-or-miss but, when it's good, you can get great stuff! Dollar Tree is more reliable with their stock.
