Loved the "new" Hawaii building

Thanks for the quick response! I am sure it will fit just fine - I was just a bit curious on just where in the room made the most sense :earsboy:

Just wanted to say thanks for the review!!! :flower:

We really have to get back there, we waited too long to book our 4th of July trip this year and ended up with a split stay AKL/BC. My DH said we won't make that same mistake even though we love AKL.

Sounds like they have done a wonderful job on the new rooms! I know we can't wait until we get back there next July :earsboy: With that in mind i do have one question about the new room design - we (myself, wife, and son who will be 16 months old during our visit) are spending 7 nights at the Polynesian Concierge and I am curious as to how / where a Pack-n-Play would fit in the new rooms - we used one for him during our trip in June at the WL and are planning to do the same next year. Any thoughts on this?

Thanks in advance

I'm sure it will fit fine but we'll be there next week (checking in 10/23! :cool1: ) and I'll try to take note of where it would fit well and post when we return.

You can see in this photo from Tina that they put the crib (supplied by the Polynesian) at the foot of the bed and could still get by. I would have considered putting it between the wall and the desk (if you are not in a connecting room or are not connecting to the room next to you) or over by the slider.

This was also in one of the original Polynesian rooms that was slightly smaller but only the length of the room would grow in the larger rooms.

I'm not sure that the crib would fit by the connecting door area anymore. I eyeballed the space for our daughter's powerchair and don't think it will fit there unless we park it lengthwise as Tina's stroller is parked.

In the old days when our kids were babies, the crib was placed in that area. This was in the era of the long low dresser. I think the space is narrower now.

We're finally home tonight and I remembered something I meant to post. There is a new room service menu as of last week. Many of the same favorites although the BBQ chicken quesadilla that someone loved...was it Skiwee?...is no longer on the menu. Tonga Toast is a bit more expensive, I could not find the chocolate strawberries that some had reported to be on the menu over the summer, and kids meals do not come with a beverage anymore. I'm sure there are other changes but that's all I noticed. The menu also is different physically which probably matters to absolutely no one but me. Again I liked the change. :flower:

That was me that loved the BBQ chicken quesadilla! I found that they took it off the menu a year ago. I was still able to get it both last year and two weeks ago. Room service pretty much makes it anyway you want it. I did notice that we had an even newer menu halfway through our trip. The one we started with was the same one as last year and it also didn't have the quesidilla. The new menu showed up in our room a few days later and was completely different then the one before.
