LOVED LOVED LOVED Coronado!!! 9/30 to 10/9 review!!

According to the menu on Allears.net, you can get some really expensive stuff - like a rib-eye at Pepper Market. I was wondering if there are limits on what menu items you can order on the dining plan. I called the hotel, but all they could tell me was that I would get a brochure upon checking in. We are going to be there 11/12 thru 11/18 and I don't want to wait for a brochure. Anyone have one they can scan in or can anyone tell me what menu items are available for a counter service meal on the plan

You can get any of their meals there for lunch or dinner since it is basically the same menu. There were no exclusions for meals or drinks for that matter. You can even get smoothies for you non alcoholic beverage. What we did find for exclusions were desert for your CS meal. The only thing was allowed were muffins, those huge cookies and rice krispie treats. This is because once you see the size of the other desserts, you will realize they are more fresh bakery items then side desert items. But really, they give you SO much food, you will want a cookie or muffin since you can save it for later. You will be stuffed. I never received a handout on the dining plan or at least never read it.

I recommend the wok sampler, the chicken caesar, the quesadillas, the breakfast skillet. Did not have the rib-eye but I know you can order it. That place can definately be a nice quick but relaxing sit down dinner meal.

When I went to Pepper Market late August, the wait/bus staff had laminated dining plan cards that they would refer to. And at Panchitos there was a copy of this laminated card taped to the counter for guests and employees to refer to.

Also, I would recommend the tuna.. my tuna was fabulously grilled. My DH had the prime rib, it was so tender he could cut it with a fork! (In fact, it was just as good as the prime rib that we ate earlier in the week at Grand Floridian) My son had the quesadillas and liked them, as well as a personally made "personal" size pizza. This "personal" pizza was so huge, it was about 8 slices!

We were there 2 weeks ago :sad1: . We ate at PM twice. The breakfast skillet was very good, and too much food for one person IMHO. We could have shared. It was very good. We also ate lunch one day. The personal pizzas were def of sharing size, and I had two big boys and DH :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsboy: with me. I had the wet burrito...it was really good. It is a good bang for your buck, and you can share if you want and save some CS for another place :goodvibes . It was very crowded and long waits at the order lines when the convention people got there later in our trip :crowded: . My girls went to get something to carry out, and had to stand in lines for over an hour :rolleyes1 . That part seemed unorganized, and it was hard to keep structured lines....where people could not cut ....and people did that. But it was a great place, and good food :) .

Hi We will be there in 10 days (can´t wait) does any one knows how do i get to DTD? We are arriving on Saturdat afternnon and dont want to use one day of park ticket for just a few hours, so we are planning to do DTD for that day,and we are planning to have leta lunch at EOS, is it really good?

I read that the quiet pools open at 8am. Are they reallyl strict about that (since there are no lifeguards)? It'd be nice to get some laps in early in the morning before heading off to the parks (like at 7am). Can you get in earlier? TIA :)

Is there pizza delivery at CSR? Is it roughly the same cost as PO-R?

thanks :)

Buzz,
Thanks for all the info and posting the pictures!!! These 45 days can't go any faster!!!!

We will be staying there Oct. 28-30 and after your review I am really looking forward to it. We will then move to VWL. Our first time at both places. :bounce:

You can take a bus from any resort or park to DTD.

I've been in the pools before the lifeguards. For the quiet pools, it is only the noise that they really are concerned about.
