Loved Dec07 so much...we're going back for Dec08 12/6-12/14.

6 days left...or 144 hours!!! I am so excited...I actually can't even believe that it is actually here. We have been counting down since December 26, 2007...which means the countdown started at 320+ days. Now we're down to six. We went to my neice's bday party yesterday and when we were leaving everyone told us to have a great time in Disney and it felt so strange because I am having a hard time believing that it is here. I pulled out the suitcases weeks ago to pack...not because I ever pack for anything weeks ahead of time but, because it somehow made the trip seem closer. Today we really are going to start packing. I have the laundry started. I am making a final list of groceries for the week...planning to try to use up alot of stuff so, that it doesn't just sit while we're gone and need to be tossed when we get back. I'll be adding sunscreen and travel size items to the list to pick up tomorrow. I can review the weather now...while feeling somewhat more secure with it being accurate and consider rearranging our off days to fall on sunny, warm days...who wants to sit around the pool if it's 60 and raining.

At my SIL's house we celebrated my neice and my DD's bday...DD turned 13 yesterday.:scared1: Still can't believe that she is 13!!! My SIL has a new kitten...my girls now want a new kitten. DH and I were considering a puppy for Christmas. We put our dog down in March...he had cancer and became paralyzed. It was the most awful thing we've ever had to do. The girls still cry many nights going to bed that they miss having a dog...our dog. My 11yo DD said one night "we're not a dog family anymore." So, DH and I are considering a new puppy. We had a black lab...we're considering a beagle, this time. We already have a cat, a bunny and a hamster...after spending time with this tiny kitten last night, they have all decided they want to get a new kitten. Our cat is very lonely without the dog...he snuggles with the hamster cage...it's very sad. A kitten or a puppy would make a great playmate. I thought a new puppy might be a great idea. Another cat would actually be much easier. I have a feeling that when everyone gets up we'll be having a cat/dog discussion. If they want a new kitten that would be fine with me...I just don't want to get them a kitten for Christmas and then a month or two down the road they decide they want a puppy, too.

Well off to do more laundry, iron, go to my 13yo DD's soccer game and then home to start packing!!!

Pamouselover...is it really that close that you're already saying goodbye?!? I'm excited and ready to go...but, not that ready yet...I need these last 6 days!!! :rotfl: Lot's to do...I'm getting to all of it right now!

Oh Boy!!! I'm getting so excited...yet calming down because I feel like I am way ahead of schedule. Usually I haven't even started packing for a trip 5 days ahead. But, I am almost packed...everything except for what I need this week. 7yo DD is completely packed...she has grown so much since this past summer, she is now grown into all of the size 8s and 9s that I have saved from my two older daughters. The year that the two of them started wearing sz 8 and 9 was the year I went a little nuts with Gymboree. My youngest has now grown into them and has approximately 15 "new" outfits. She was excited...I was excited!!! She's all packed. My oldest DD is done...she however has outgrown many of her summer things. She casually mentioned "oh...btw Mom, I need three or four more pairs of shorts and some tanks." :scared1: Where am I going to find her those things in December?!? My 11yo DD watched football all day and said she "get around to packing this week." She's easy though. I'm not worried about her. DH will get his stuff done himself...he's easy too. I have my list for Target and for groceries...minimal shopping this week. I'll cook two night, make enough for leftovers...we'll get pizza Friday.

I just brought in the Christmas presents from the back of my van. My neighbor said her van was broken into over the weekend. Her CDs were stolen. I panicked thinking about all the Christmas presents I was hiding in mine. They were all still there and they're now up in the attic until we get back...probably won't get to wrapping...oh well. Need to drop off some stuff to Goodwill so, that the van is empty come Friday.

I need to make an appt for a photoshoot...not sure if it's too late...oh well if it is. I'll take care of that this afternoon. My plan for this year's Christmas card is to take some pictures of the girls when we get there, download them into the laptop...which I am bringing this year; I didn't bring it last year and regretted it. I will upload the first great picture of all three of them to Winkflash, order the Christmas cards and hopefully they'll be ready to send out when we get home.
Let's see, what else...the tree is done. We did that yesterday. I need to undecorate for fall...the pumpkins and the harvest flag are still out in front of the house. And...we voted 3 to 2 in favor of a puppy.

Is that it?!? I think it is...only 4 and 3/4 days to go...or 118 hours :woohoo:

OK...I am so NOT calm anymore. I am in a full-fledged panic because I am so afraid that I am going to forget something or that we're going to have a crisis of some kind. I haven't slept for what feels like forever!!! Last night because I was in panic mode...which lasted all day, today. The night before a cutting board got caught under the soap thingy in the dishwasher and set off the dishwasher alarm. (I set the DW to start at 3am because it is so loud...well, the alarm is really loud at 3am...don't know what I was thinking!!!) I really need to get some sleep tonight...tomorrow is my only day off before we leave on Saturday...at 4:45am. So, I need to be able to focus and take care of everything undone. Maybe I'll feel better once I know everything is done and under control. Although, I'm thinking I won't be calm until we land at MCO.

I hope you are doing better today!!:lmao: I am at home today getting some things done..I just got all of the laundry my DH did the other day put away, I love how he washes it and just tosses it on the spare bed!:lmao: Oh well at least it is washed!! Now I am off to clean out the fridge and the kitchen.. And then I am going to get DD's outfits together. I hope to get all packed today, and have tommorow to rest. I have a masage and pedicure scheduled in the AM!!

Thanks Melissa...Hope you and your family have a great time, too!!! I think we'll be waiting in terminal C. If I see you, I'll say hi. I've had a year to figure out how to post a picture of us and can't believe that we're finally down to the final hours of waiting and still haven't figure that out. Oh well...I'll be the mom with the three girls with the rolling suitcases in lime green, lt blue and lavendar...many people commented on them last year so, apparently they stick out...we'll also be drinking lots of Dunkin Donuts at that hour. So, if you see us say hi. If we don't see each other...I hope you have a blast, and really enjoy the WF and can't wait to share all the details when we get home!!!

We're down to 21 hours and 45 minutes til we leave:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: I think I calmed my nerves yesterday...I was off from work, finished all the laundry, did most of the errands...forgot the catfood, poor kitty...paid all the bills that will be due next week...did 7yo DD's pedicure. I'm feeling much better. Today I have to work...should be a smooth day...crossing my fingers...I only have 6 patients to see. I called them all last night and they all agreed to be home. So, hopefully I'll be done with them and the rest of my errands by noon and done with work completely by the time the kiddos get home from school. I'll finish picking up the house, get pizza for dinner, put in a movie and try to get tired by 8:30 - 9ish so, that we can go to bed, to be up at 4am. :scared1: Seeing as how it is for Disney...I'm thinking we should not have a problem, though.
I have called POR, the GF and Airtran to confirm all that can be confirmed. We're as confirmed as could be. Now all we need to do is get there!!!:cloud9:

Ok...this is it!!! ONLY 7 HOURS TIL WE LEAVE!!! I'm trying not to woo hoo and get all excited here because I'm trying to convince myself that I'm really sleepy so, that I can fall right to sleep. But, really "I'm too excited to sleep!!!" :rotfl: Well, other than getting dressed in the AM, the only thing left to do is pack the laptop. I'll need to check the flights and the checking acct...and then we're off!!!:dance3:
