When did you first tell your SO that you love them?
For DF and I, I told him about after 3 months of seeing each other, he said it back a few weeks later. I see on a friend's facebook that he and his girl are exchanging I love yous after dating for 2 days. I also know that the word means different things to different people.

So when did you say it?

It's been many years, but it was about 1 month or so. We did know each other for a year before we got together.

It seemed to take an eternity! I think we both wanted to say it but neither of us wanted to be the first! LOL!

I think it was about 4 or 5 months....

I said it after we were together a few months...he opened his mouth after I first told him and before he could say anything I told him never to say it unless he MEANT it...he made me wait weeks after that...then said he felt it before I did, but didn't think I would believe him after I said that lol.

DH told me after a couple of weeks...it sort of freaked me out and he'd say "I love you!" and I'd reply with "uh-huh!"

Then after we'd been dating for six weeks, we were going back to our separate universities and we said goodbye at the airport...we were both crying and after we parted I realised that I DID love him! I ran back through security, found him and yelled "wait! I forgot to tell you I love you!" It would have been beautiful and romantic but then I missed my plane and had to pay hundreds of dollars for a new flight
