Most if not all of the comments following that article were negative reviews of FP+.
What I'm noticing on this thread is a lot of posts from people who have never posted on a FP+ thread, and there aren't many people who are satisfied with the current system. I believe Disney has a major problem.
I've also noticed a lot of multiple trip folks in all the many threads here and elsewhere that have said screw it, time for something new. My wife is one of them, the in house Disney lover has put her foot down. We spent on average $5000 a trip and the majority went to Disney. At one point DVC was a serious topic, not now. Thank god we didn't take that plunge.
We were never ones to RD but never had a problem getting FP- for the rides we wanted. The secondary rides had tolerable wait times and we had a ton of fun on all our past trips except this last one. Amy always fought me on Universal, she is all Disney all the time and every minute in Florida should be at Disney, according to her.

Two trips ago we started Universals
HHN, better show of Canada's Wonderlands version, it was my in! Anyway we did that first for three days and then Disney for ten. On our 22hr drive home, the post vacation review was bad, from both of us. Neither said anything at the time for fear of ruining the others vacation but the conclusion was that Universal was like Disney on our honeymoon back in '01. Get up whenever, decide the park, book it over there any just wander around and do whatever struck your fancy.
I guess there are a bunch of things that have gotten us to this point. Food has gone downhill, ADR's, dining plan, now planning rides months in advance. For the money you pay, I didn't mind it when you got quality, not so much now. I do like those Magicbands replacing the card, way more convenient.
It's weird not having an overwhelming desire to return to the World like we did in the past. Oh well, two less people in the Standby line for the rest of ya.
