Hello fellow DISers! My husband and I have our first trip ever to WDW planned this November using our DVC, also for the first time. We have a 1-BR Savannah View at Kidani reserved. I love my Iced Tea and so does hubby. I'd like to be able to make some while we're there. I don't care for the instant and plan on bringing tea bags with me to make iced tea. My question is, "Is there a pitcher in the 1-BR kitchens?" I would like to make the tea as soon as we get checked in.

We will be getting a rental car, but not until the next day. Worst case scenario is that I wait until the next day and find a Walmart and purchase something very cheap for the few days we'll be there that I won't mind tossing. I don't want to pack it as a cruise follows our WDW visit and then a long flight home to California.

There is a plastic "juice" pitcher that we use for iced tea in all the villas. I really wish all the DVC units had the electric kettle that Aulani has in the units. It made making tea so easy! We brewed the tea in the electric pot in the morning and then transfered it to the fridge in the pitcher.:thumbsup2

You can also try calling Mousekeeping to ask if they have a larger pitcher, or request a second pitcher. I haven't contacted them for several years, but in the past they were able to provide some additional dishes/cooking supplies.
I brew the tea in a saucepan and transfer to pitcher. Remember to turn on the ice maker as soon as you get there, also. Have a fantastic trip!

There should be a pitcher, but if not, to tide you over, you could always brew it in a large bowl and dip it out with a measuring cup until you get a pitcher. Or you could take a throw-away -- it wouldn't take up much room, if you roll up undies or something and stuff inside it. When I fly I always plan on taking some cereal or stuff that "saves space" that will be used up or tossed so that I have space to bring back the things that I acquire on the trip.

The pitchers in some of the villas are very small. If you end up buying something, rather than tossing it just leave it in the villa. We've done that in the past when we purchased something we didn't want to bring home. Figured it might help out someone else who stays in that villa.

Here is a photo of the pitcher in the kitchen at AKV. It is an open pitcher made of plastic. For perspective, there is a 1-cup sized measuring cup next to it

Pack one just in case. Fill it with things you're packing anyway and it won't take up too much room.

Yes, I was thinking of packing something and then leaving it. I will start keeping an eye out for something that would work. I was concerned that if I left something Disney would remove it as something that didn't belong.

I appreciate all the information. Now I just need to figure out what ADR's if any we are going to do.

If you are at OKW, there is a covered juice pitcher above the sink that is quite large. Much bigger than those water pitchers in the other villas.
