LOVE LOVE LOVE coupons!! :)

so, rural shoppers... not good, I am guessing. May be its not even worth learning for me. :confused3

I'm rural and don't have issues. Try it! They do check internet coupons at one store here because some are fraudulant I guess. That doesn't bother me. The other store(same store different location) doesn't bother.

If you save just $1/week coupons are worth it. That's $52/year or a couple pairs of sneakers.

I have a cousin who doesn't coupon because she buys only all whole foods and I was like yes, but you use still use toothpaste and toilet paper, right? Ummm, yes. Well, there you have it you can save money with coupons.

You don't have to get fantastic deals like the OP listed to use coupons or save with them, it's just that you can get fantastic deals with them - by combining them with sales and store coupons. I have walked out of CVS with a total of $0 for $65 worth of stuff and I've walked out of the grocery store having saved $50 on my grocery bill. But conversely, many a week I just save $5 or $6 on my grocery bill (my average week is $20 off on my groceries). But hey, even if it's only $1 that's $$ in my pocket to use for something else.

Also, don't forget about coupons at the clothing stores. I just bought middle DS Skechers Sneakers - they were on clearance at Bob's for $30 - marked down from $50, plus I picked up four pairs of mittens that were on clearance for $0.50/pair. I then used a coupon for an additional 25% off my entire purchase. Total cost of the sneakers and four pairs of mittens $24.00. :woohoo:

Is there a website that tells you what coupons will be in the sunday paper ahead of time?

You can search the coupon boards at fatwallet (dot com) or slickdeals (dot net), and you'll often find them. Or you can check refundcents (dot com) - they'll sometimes have the list in their newsletter, or you can subscribe (you have to pay to subscribe) and get even more info.

For ideas on how to coupon effectively there are a ton of blogs plus
A Full Cup, Hot Coupon World, etc.
If you do a search for blogs that are more specific to your area you will likely have better luck finding deals.
Or a search of a yahoo email group for your area. I'm a member of one for MN/ Twin Cities, we help each other by posting where we find deals or clearance.

If you need a bit more of a precise list...
Coupon Mom is free
Savings Angel is location specific, but costs money... it's a good starting point but once you figure out how it all works the other sites are free :goodvibes
