well, Gustav has come and gone... we only got a few showers, but lots of tornado warnings...one touched down in base housing at Eglin AFB which is just a couple miles away but thankfully nobody was hurt...


Day 7 Thursday...so far other than Dinner this day is empty for us... We have an 8:40 ADR at 'Ohanas and we are hoping to be able to watch the fireworks from the beach there (assuming the weather isn't too cold)

Day 8 Friday the 12th
can't wait for this day...we check out of OKW and into AKL concierge and are doing the Wanyama (sunset) Safari, which includes dinner at Jikos

well, we are down to less than 3 months...89 days to be exact...
I haven't posted for a few days and will finish my ADR's in the next day or 2...

We had to put one of our dogs to sleep Thursday Cookie was the oldest at almost 15 years... we had her since 1994 and she came to Florida with my daughter and myself in 1999, when we moved here from California. She was such a part of our family and it was the hardest thing I have done in a long long time...but I know it was the right thing to do, but I am still really sad

I'm am terribly sorry to hear about your dog!! to you. I don't know what I will do when it comes that time for us.

I love the tshirts you are having made. I showed them to my hubby and he wants to have some made like that too! How do you do it?

hi...thanks for joining in...and thanks for the hug and kind words

the shirts are really simple to make... just buy t-shirt transfers from amd craft store or office supply store and then you just print them on your printer and iron them on a t-shirt... if they have writing like the ones I posted you just reverse them before printing them...I did a few last year and they turned out great... there are lots of great ones down on the 'just for fun-creative designs thread'

Dixie has just laid around since Thursday I truly believe she to is mourning the loss of her pal Cookie... they had been together since 2000 when my husband and I met...

ok....here I am only 2 more days of the trip to post ADRs.... the last day I posted was Friday, Dec 12 and dinner will be at Jikos that day (after the Wanyama Safari)

Saturday the 13th I don't have anything booked... I have left this as a totally free day.... we always spend at least part of 1 day at DTD and if we haven't already gone by this day we will do it then... Rainforest Cafe is a tradition for us so we will eat here today (probably lunch)

we plan on spending the rest of the day just exploring and enjoying Animal Kingdom Lodge so we will eat dinner there or maybe just snack up in the concierge lounge and order dinner in the room

Sunday morning Dec 14th is our last day in the parks
we are doing the Sunrise Safari in the early morning and then we get a buffet breakfast at Pizzafari

Dinner on the 14th is at 5:05 @ Mama Melroses (another first for us)

Monday the 15th we drive home, so we will probably eat breakfast in the concierge lounge that morning

we are celebrating our 6th anniversary during our stay at AKL...we are doing the Wanyama "sunset" Safari on Dec 12th and this will be the evening we celebrate it... I'm really excited about eating at Jiko's but a little nervous at the same time because Danny is kinda a picky eater I said kinda oh well I imagine if he's hungry he'll find something he likes

wow...I was just looking over some of the other PTR on here...bunches and bunches... we are down to 78 days It's strange, because I'm already really excited about going, and I never get this excited this early
I think I'm driving my boss and co-workers crazy, every day I go to work and say "77 days!" or "only 11 more weeks" they just laugh at me like I'm nuts hmmm maybe I am...
the thing they don't understand is why we are changing resorts 3 times while we are there??? thank goodness for Bell Services

ok, so I like to take pictures of Disney hats call me strange....I've been called worse
and it's kinda hard to take them on my own head... ok so that's just an excuse to get Danny to try them on
so for the last several trip I get him to put on hats and I take pictures, right?
then I post them on the Disboards for everyone to see
