Love Harry Potter but hate motion sickness...

I take Meclizine. Ride simulators don’t bother me, but coasters with loops do. It’s a 24 hr pill and works for me. And it’s non drowsy. Spinning things also bother me like tea cups or those swings that go round. Astro Orbitor is the worst. I still avoid those things, but the coasters are a must do for me.

I'm usually okay on rides- even Flight Of Passage was no problem for me, but Forbidden Journey never fails to make me dizzy as heck when I get off. Who's bright idea was it to put stairs at the exit?!

I get really really bad motion sickness even on men in black and travel sickness pills work...one is the orange dramamine..think that is how you spell it. Can buy at the check outs at the main store and in the hotel shops. Take 1 after breakfast and another half hour before. I have done all the Harry Potter rides, star tours, Spider-Man, men in black, Simpson’s, to name a few. You feel a bit queasy but it works. Oh and I wear my airplane wrist bands too. I used to buy traveleese tablets from Boots the Chemist. They were brilliant as lasted 24 hours. But can’t seem to buy them anywhere lately. One other tip...after taking...go easy on the cocktails....have a very strannnge affect! ‍♀️

Gringotts is very easy and there aren’t any issues with that one (for me).

Forbidden Journey only gives me issues if I ride it back-to-back 5 or 6 times. I heard the new projectors help smooth out some of those issues; I’ll find out next week!

I tried FJ when it opened and I didn't like it at all. I didn't get motion sick, but all the jerking around and position changes bothered me. I don't do FOP, Soarin, but all others are ok. I just don't try to reride the ones I don't like. I kept trying to like Soarin, but finally just said no go for me. I always felt like I was falling out of the little seats with the bar at your back.
As far as FJ, why don't you just go through the q and see all the neat sights but you won't have to ride if you don't want to. The queue is worth the walk. I loved the Gringott's attraction, from the amazing queue to the fantastic ride experience. Other rides bother me, but not Gringotts.
You have gotten a lot of advice, but I guess you have to decide for yourself. Trust you instincts and go with it:)

It I hadn’t taken Bonine first Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey would have done me in. As it was I was fine but I could tell I should not try it a 2nd time in a row.

I have to admit, since its been a long time since I've done any proper thrill rides, I've taken the precaution of buying some motion sickness wristbands.

I may not even need them, however, I would like to do the Hulk, so may just pop them on my first day, and see how I go on other rides.

Its ironic that since September when I started researching my trip I feel I've covered everything I need to know.

But my bodys reaction to the rides (Oh to be a 20 or 30 something again) is the one variable that will remain a mystery until I get there.

7 weeks and one day to go, ohmigish!
