Love bugs come out when in May?

Looking to head down in May. When do the love bugs usually come out???

They usually start appearing in April but are most prevalent around mid-May. The later you go in May the less chance you have of seeing them.

We were there last May (1st-12th) and we saw a few toward the end of our trip. We only saw them at our resort (POR). We never saw any in the parks. We have them at home too and we're used to dealing with swarms of them...so what we thought were just a few may seem like a whole lot to someone else.

First week of May in both 2007 and 2008, they must have been very few as we did not notice any anywhere.

It really depends on the year.

I lived in FL for 10 years when I was a child/teen. I remember times when they were so bad that we couldn't go out for recess-- there were like black clouds of them-- and you had to wash your car constantly to get them off. But there were several years when I didn't notice any.

We were in FL last May for 3 weeks and I did not see one love bug.

I was at WDW over Memorial Day 2007 and the bugs were thick at the resorts, but not at the parks.

The cars in the parking lots were a funny sight due to the amount of bugs plastered across the front!

love bugs were not bad last year.

maybe this cold snap we are in will keep thim down again this yr.

the love bugs will sworm any thing (flower) that is white, they love white
