Love bugs at SBP in early May?

I was reading on the Theme Parks board about the love bugs that are around now. We are planning on getting married at SBP next May. Are there going to bugs everywhere? Has anyone gotten married in May and had a problem with this?

I hate bugs and I am imagining them crawling around everywhere!

They don't crawl.. they fly.

Usually the lovebugs aren't out so early in the year - but this year, they were. It got hot earlier than usual this year but usually they don't come out until about June / July. So, you never know. I guess I'm not much help but in Florida, nothing is certain when it comes to weather - which in turn, is what determines when the bugs come out.

I talked to my photographer, as they also are out in september, which is when we are doing our VR. She said she's never had them been a problem, as they are so small they won't show up on the film. She wasn't concerned in the slightest when I brought it up to her. I don't think I'd worry about it- I think they usually come in later may anyway.

I just got married at SBP on Friday. We only saw one "set", LOL. They were by DD when we were doing our vows. She stepped around them once when they got too near her, but I don't think anyone noticed.

How was the weather? Was it too hot?

I was just down there (5/15 - 5/20), I didn't see a bug the entire time - just a lot of rain!

Meg I was there too! Im still feeling soaked! Our flight got REALLY delayed! When did you fly home?

We DID see some lovebugs, but only on the one sunny day of the trip, and they were all around the pool area. I didnt notice them anywhere else, but it may have been due to all the rain!

I do not think they would be much of a bother!

PS I did hear that its been record breaking hot this year, really early! That may have had them come out early.

Meg I was there too! Im still feeling soaked! Our flight got REALLY delayed! When did you fly home?

We left the 20th - we weren't delayed because there was a miraculous pause in the rain long enough for us to get airborne. It was my second miraculous break in all that rain. The first one was our photo shoot with the Roots!
