I'm new here and I have questions for all of you who have to WDW. This will be my first time going. My dh went as a child and of course stayed at the poly. We can't afford that but I finally convinced to him to stay at the Carribian. Howerver Its still going to cost us a little over $3000! Its soooooo expensive! How can I keep cost down and when do you think they will be coming out with codes to lower the cost of the hotel. I would like us to go in Aug, is there a better time to go?

There are slower seasons and different packages. Honestly you might do better to browse www.mousesavers.com and www.allearsnet.com then came back here with any remaining questions. Also the Unofficial Guide has given me vital information. I'm researching our trip for the first time even though this is our third trip (my fourth). You can still have a good time without doing all the research, but it will help you to save money and have the best time possible from what I hear.

Oh, and I stayed at the Caribbean in '93 and hear it's gotten better since then. I'm looking forward to going back.

September is probably a better and cheaper time to go, rather than August. August is really hot & kids are not in school yet so it is also crowded.

I find it is cheaper to book everything separately than book a package. We always buy hopper passes instead of the onsite passes. Hopper passes never expire. Onsite passes expire when you check out & are more money.

Mousesavers.com is the best site to find discounts.
