Lots of RPR questions

You guys are an amazing source of information. I have a few more questions though . .

We have decided to do Club Level at RPR 8/5/05 through 8/9/05:

1) Although the dates are not open for reservations yet, I noticed that Hotel Kingdom does not seem to offer club level on its website. Does anyone know if you can call them and book club level through them?

2) If I book my reservation through Hotel Kingdom or directly through the Lowe's website and a better rate comes out (AP, ENT, FAN) can I call 800-BEA-STAR and have them change the reservation? Will they have it in their system?

3) Not willing to go for a higher rate to make it count as a qualified stay, but I do have a Lowes First card. If I get a discounted rate, can I still use it to check in via the special line for Lowe's First members?

4) Plan on eating at Emeril's Tchou Chop, Confiasco Grill Character Breakfast and the Luau. I read something about getting 50% off vouchers. Can someone tell me how to get them?

5) Plan on surprising the family with a cabana for a few of the days. How early can you reserve them, and who do I have to call? Can I pay for it in advance (I've heard of people getting up at 6:30 to do this that day - I'd like to sleep in a little on vacation)?

I can't answer all of your questions, but I'm pretty sure that if you book the room through hotelkingdom.com and a better rate comes out, you can't change it through Loews or through BEA-STAR. You could cancel your reservation through hotelkingdom.com and rebook (there would be a penalty for canceling of approximately $11, I think).

I checked in through the Loews First Line and had booked at a discount - no problem. However, as you probably know, if you book at a discount rate (except for AAA) you will not receive your perks as a Loews First Member, e.g., goodies.

Can't say for sure, but I doubt you can get a 50% off voucher for Tchoup Chop.

If you book through Loews or BeAStar (Universal Vacations), and a lower rate comes out, they will change it. You can't book through one broker and expect another broker to lower your rate. After all, you aren't booked through them. BeAStar is NOT connected to Loews. They are a separate vacation broker. I would book with either Loews or BeAStar and look for discounts and then try to change the rate.

One time I booked it through...Hotel Kingdom or was it Expedia or Orbitz...can't remember, and this is with a discount, but anyway, we were still able to get our complimentary goodies. We recieved them maybe because I was already a gold member or was a platinum member. I booked the std and I was able to get the water view/park view. Since we stay there a lot, maybe that's why we get this perks.

I, too, have received the goodies using a discounted rate, but I've read recently on these boards, that those perks are getting much harder to get - they are being strict about it lately and not giving the perks, if you've booked using a discount other than AAA. Of course, it always depends on the clerk checking you in - you can get lucky!

It was me that got up at 6:30 last year to rent a cabana....but that was only because it was a last minute decision made the night before when we felt we couldn't possibly walk another step the next day. This year I reserved one the day before we were going to use it. At RPR they are rented through the fitness center. I'm sure you could call down there and get put through to the center directly to reserve one. Don't know about reserving without paying....I was told they couldn't hold it unless I paid up front. FYI...they will bring a menu to your cabana and take food orders for you....MAKE SURE your kids understand that the menu items are not included in the price of the rental. The server came around while I was in the pool last year so my sons ordered pretty much one of everything thinking it was included.
