Lots of rides going down these days....

The rides are breaking down more because the parks are having less lull periods for maintenance.

Was there yesterday - Space Mountain and Matterhorn were down from 9am opening to past 11am. Indy was down at least twice during the day, according to the app. Big Thunder down twice as well, and it didn't rain yesterday. And at this point from our DL visits, even my kids joke about how often Indy is down.

Yep. I was there as well. I was surprised how long Space Mountain was down. I didn't mind missing out on that ride since we just rode on 12/24, but I was in line for Matterhorn when it was down, and we never were able to get back to it because the line got so long after that. (I will not stand in it if the line starts wrapping around the back walkway.)

. If I could just ride HM without it breaking down, that would be nice

What is breaking down? In this case, sounds like the ride is being changed in speed on purpose, due to those who need additional boarding assistance. And since the system is designed to do that once per full cycle, more than likely you will get creep mode for a bit, or a full stop for loading on most rides. I would say head to the HM either first thing at opening, or one of the last riders of the day....

Today, Hyper SM was up then went down for a few hours. Haunted Mansion was down for a few hours as well and both overlapped with Storybook which was down all day and just opened in the last hour. Luckily it is surprisingly light today so no worries. :)

Just been stuck on it a few times where it stopped completely for a while and all the sounds stop. Announcement comes on to stay seated. Not a big deal. Well, except when it stopped in front of a skeleton and my daughter was scared. She wasn't too thrilled with going on in the first place so that was bad timing. It's all good though, she rode it again next time we went

My youngest DS was also scared to get into HMH.
On our ride it did stop for couple of times. Announcement also came on to stay seated. I think it is not considered down, like previous post, probably some loading/unloading going on.

Rides stopping for a moment and then carry on is frequent.... even for Splash.... and TSMM (aty least when I was there)
