I am going with my family(9 people) to Universal Orlando from July 30- August 1(2 nights) at PBH. I know that it's going to be crowded because it's the summer, but I thought that with FOTL the lines wouldn't be bad at all. How long are the FOTL lines during the summer?

Also, I'm looking for two moderately priced restaurants to eat at. I've already picked out Pastamore, but I haven't ate there yet. Is it good? Can they accomodate 9 people? Any other restaurant suggestions?

Any tips in general would be appreciated.

HI

i really enjoyed pastamore- the servers were very attentive and they could certainly accomodate larger groups- the portions were big and really good

nascar cafe had a great atmosphere and the food was good- not too pricey

the kitchen had great food but very pricey- i paid $14 for a hamburger with cheese, onions and mushrooms:eek:

motown is priced moderately - the subs were good but i really didn't care for all the food and the place seems kind of "run down"

FOTL is a god send- i would never go without it

have a great time

You'll love FOTL! I saw 2 hour waits in the regular line last week for Spiderman while FOTL was a walk on. I think we rode Spiderman 7 or 8 times in that week with the longest wait being ummm....30 seconds! Same with MIB. Some of our longest waits with FOTL were on Hulk (5-15 minutes) & Dueling Dragons (10-20 minutes & I HATED their Express setup!). Everything else had very fast moving FOTL or was a show which everyone had to wait for to begin (although they do seat Express guests first).

We ate at Pastamore with half-price gift certificates but probably won't again. Food was just ok, nothing special, but the staff was very friendly & attentive. Of course, food opinions vary, so I wouldn't base a decision of whether or not to go on one person! :D Nascar Cafe was good basic food (burgers/ribs). Alittle loud & busy, but with kids, we welcome that atmosphere! Do try Margaritaville! This was our best meal of the week. Great fun atmosphere & delicious food. The loaded nachos were the best I've had in a long time. Very light and crunchy. Enjoy your stay. :D

Thanks guys for the replys. You have got me so excited!:hyper:
I've been to Universal before but this is the first time with FOTL. I can't wait!

I think that we might end up doing Pastamore(we love Italian) and maybe HRC(we're suckers for this place). I've ate at Motown before and although it was pretty good I don't think my picky family will like it.

Thanks for the tips!

Please give a review of PBH when you return, what room you stayed in, etc. We are going in September & appreciate all of the feedback. How about Mama Della's at the PBH for a meal; I heard portions are large enough to share. Also heard great things about Mythos in IOA but I don't know the prices.

While you're at PBH, don't overlook Sal's Pizza for a quick, reasonably priced meal. It's a little bistro with excellent pizza and great salads, etc. Their tomato/basil/mozzarella salad was delicious.

I'll make sure to write a trip report when I get back.
